Quaint room overlooking gorgeous Southwest Harbor

      5 of 5
The vacation rental Dockside Inn is very quaint, relaxing and overlooks gorgeous Southwest Harbor. Sunset and sunrise views are picturesque. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance. The customer service was great. The only two drawbacks were 1) not having a functional WIFI network and 2) the TV being very small. But even these issues were minor inconveniences on this vacation. Will definitely go back to this place when we can.

Can I Keep This Property a Secret??!! ;-)

A gorgeous place, immaculate and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout... And, the grounds are lovely as well. I booked a week at this chalet for a Maine vacation with my Mom, who had not been back to this area in more than 20 years. This was a fabulous find! Very quiet and private, and a great place for both of us to decompress after a year of family chaos. Yet, close enough to all the area attractions that we were never bored. We covered a lot of ground during our week's stay -- including Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula, the Roosevelt Campobello International Park in New Brunswick (bring your passport!!), Asticou Terraces and Thula Gardens, the Penobscot Marine Museum, and many other random stops for (a) breathtakingly beautiful scenery, or (b) fun local gift shops! We also ate lots of yummy seafood, including lobster, clams, and mussels. Heaven! And the views from the deck every morning and evening were spectacular. Only sorry that I did not book this for 2 (!!) weeks.
