Lovely & comfortable house, beautiful location

          5 of 5
Suzanne's house was perfect for our big family's stay there. The house is charmingly decorated while also being incredibly comfortable and functional, stocked with everything we needed to have a fabulous time. We traveled to Bar Harbor for a big lobster dinner at a great place that Suzanne recommended, we had a big family dinner on the back deck (complete with grill and porch furniture!) We explored Hancock Point, which is quaint and beautiful, the town harbor is full of sailboats and looks out over Mount Desert Island - stunning view! The big old farmhouse was well cared for, and easily accommodated our party of 8. Suzanne went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable, as well as giving us lots of info about the area - activities, places to eat etc. The house is a 10 min walk to a very pretty cove, and is surrounded by fields and forests and only one or two houses. There's a big back yard for kids to play in as well as a huge field with paths all around the property. Being there felt like we were truly escaping it all! Would absolutely recommend to a friend and hope to go back next year with family again!

Amazing country living and adventure in Acadia

          5 of 5
My wife, 3 year old, 2 year old, and in-laws stayed at the Renwick House and loved it. It is a perfect location for families to enjoy Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor without the noise and traffic of staying in town. The access to Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Great Head, Gorham Mtn, Champlain Mtn, and Otter Cliffs is very easy. I would highly recommend this house to climbers, runners, and cyclists who want to be in the park without much hassle. It is also perfect for families. The house is well maintained and very unique. However, those not used to old farmhouses should understand that it is not a luxury condominium, it is a very clean, well-maintained, beautiful farm house. The back yard has incredible sunsets and plenty of room to run around for the kids. The on-property trail around the meadow is gorgeous. There is a rustic cabin with a twin bed and a bathroom that is perfect for bringing a guest, family member, friend, etc. We have already booked the Renwick House for next year.

          Simply Lovely

          4 of 5
My family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is well furnished and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals. The yard is big enough for the kids and dog to play. The kitchen and living room windows overlook the relaxing deck that overlooks the cove as flowers abound in the garden. It is easy to get around the park from this location and then go home to the quiet side of the island. The owner provided a detailed description of the property, directions to and from, local attractions and restaurants as well as maps and guides. The Seafood Ketch in Bass Harbor is 5 minutes away and we enjoyed our dinner there. I would recommend this location to friends and family.
