Perfect in every way

5 of 5
Charming home and perfect location--we had everything we could possibly need, and more. The house was so cozy and clean and we all loved being there or being in town. I was so happy to find how close it is to town and walking there took less than 5 minutes. April, the owner, was so warm and helpful--she knows everyone in Bar Harbor and made us feel so special during our visit. We can't wait to come next summer!!

Absolutely fantastic!!!

We just returned home from our stay in Bar Harbor and I wanted to make sure we reviewed this property right away. The pictures don't do this wonderful property justice. It was all we were told and more. The rental was clean and large with 3 nice size bedrooms and all the amenities described in their ad. We walked downtown every day which was just a 5 minute walk down the street. We spent alot of time in Acadia National Park which is about a 5 minute drive. Buy the week pass at Acadia there is alot to see for families and pack a lunch and water! There is no place in the park that we found to get anything to eat or drink. The rental had a nice kitchen and we cooked a few times but ate out most of the time. There were only a couple restaurants we thought were worth revisiting. Most were very average. "This way Cafe" was good for breakfast. I wish we had eaten here before the last day. Good food and great service! "Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound" a must for good lobster about a 15 minute drive out of town but worth the trip!!! We had lobster 5 times this week and every other place we had lobster was a bit of a disappointment. The ice cream place on Main street closest to the harbor was my 5 year old daughters favorite. We would definitely go back and we have bookmarked this property so we can recommend this property to others.

Wonderland

Off the beaten path of Acadia, we found this cute appartment, a great way to explore the subtle treasures of Acadia. While this place is on the quiet side of Desert Island, most attractions were very easy to reach within a thirty minutes drive. Bruce, the owner, was very helpful with maps and tips, also provided us with a flashlight in the middle of the night, when a storm cut the electricity. And we would definitely come back as soon as possible!
