PEACEFUL, BEAUTIFUL AND COMFORTABLE---PERFECT!

5 of 5
This is a wonderful place to stay! The cottage (living quarters are upstairs) is secluded but only a few minutes away from all the restaurants and shops of Bar Harbor: the best of both worlds. Furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen is amazingly well equipped, and everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The owners were very helpful and friendly, giving lots of good suggestions for activities from their own experience. The woods and garden area around the cottage are lovely to explore and lead right to a great walking trail. It is just a few minutes to the spectacular Park Loop Road and many of the sights one must see in Acadia. Thurston's Lobster Pound in Bass Harbor was our favorite restaurant (with Mainely Meat BBQ at the Atlantic Brewery a close second), and two fun and easy walks are the Ocean Trail and the Jordan Pond Trail. If you need to leave the island, Schoodic Peninsula is worth the hour drive. We would 100% recommend Phillip and Astri's beautiful cottage!

GREAT, FUN LOCATION. LOTS OF SPACE. KID FRIENDLY.

Great central location for anybody wanting to walk into Bar Harbor. Terrific rooms with lots of space to spread out. Quiet. Close to a little playground. Nina and Tom are terrific to work with (this is our second year renting from them) and we look forward to coming back soon!

WONDERFUL SETTING FOR EXPLORING AND CREATIVITY

5 of 5
This was the perfect place to stay for exploring the Acadia region and for our creative outlets - writing and photography. The grounds and view of Frenchman's Bay were lovely - I spent early mornings out by the gardens reading and journaling while looking out at the Bay. The living space was perfect for us - clean accomodations, lovely artwork of Vicki's and a kitchen area perfect for the meal preparation I needed to do for my son who has food allergies. We didn't have a set schedule as to what to do and Vicki had terrific suggestions - exploring the Schoodic penninsula, kayaking in Frenchman's Bay and visiting art galleries on a rainy day. We loved being in quiet area but still being close enough to visit Mount Desert Island. I would definitely recommend staying at Vicki's for those who want to explore the area and be surrounded by serene, beautiful, creativity-inspiring surroundings.
