wonderful location and great service!

5 of 5
This was our first visit to New Orleans and it couldn't have been better! The home was in a great location and had everything we needed. We were just a quick walk to St. Charles and had easy access to everywhere. It was a great vacation and we will definitely be coming back! Thanks!

Fall Getaway

5 of 5
This "Treetop Suite" truly is charming... and it was perfect for my spouse and I to explore the French Quarter and then some of New Orleans. The view was just what we had wanted, with plenty of windows to look out over the Quarter and to let in natural light. You do have to climb a few short flights of stairs to reach it, but we didn't mind that in the least. The location is perfect-- close to the heart of the Quarter by a few blocks, yet quiet and residential-feeling. We felt quite safe walking and biking all over. The set-up inside the apartment was simple and all that we needed. Mr. Greathouse (the property's caretaker) was knowledgeable and helpful, and he welcomed us and any questions we might have at any time during our stay. And another big selling point for us was that the owner was incredibly responsive and timely (very unlike some other property owners in the NOLA area.) We spent our days and nights enjoying the spontaneous and beautiful music, marveling at the Mississippi, and absorbing all that we could of this area's colorful and extensive history. We would absolutely recommend this place to friends and family.

Great apartment in a great location

5 of 5
My friend and I stayed here for Mardi Gras this year and it was a great location. It is within walking distance to anything you may need; groceries, drug store, restaurants and shopping. It's also the perfect location for the parades. There is a laundry facility directly across the street. Parking was easy. We parked directly in front of the apartment most of the time. The beds were super comfortable. I have a bad back and I wanted to take the bed home with me! The tv worked fine for us. The shower was a little confusing, but we eventually figured it out. It's new and one of those fancy schmancy ones. Yes, the kitchen is small but it serves it's purpose. We used the microwave to heat up leftovers and used the coffee maker every morning. Besides, who visits New Orleans and cooks?! You should be eating at all the wonderful restaurants because you won't find this kind of food anywhere else. I would definitely stay here again! I would like to address the comments regarding the area being unsafe. If you aren't familiar with New Orleans, most of New Orleans is going to seem shady to you. In order to get to the Garden District and Uptown areas, you have to drive through some less fortunate areas. Once again, that's New Orleans. It's a very old city with lots of history and has been through enormous plights. This area is perfectly safe. It's also going through a ton of renovations. It's just old and full of character. Tip: Watch out for the trees along the street curbs; especially on St. Charles. They don't seem to respect the boundaries ;)
