Spent a long Easter weekend here with some friends (total of 2 couples) and was just exceptionally pleased with the accommodations, the location, and the graciousness of the hosts. We took the trolley's everywhere we needed to go (French Quarter, Garden District, Cemeteries, City Park). The river walk on the levee is two block from the house for walking or riding and it is also within walking distance of Oak St were the natives go to "laissez les bons temps rouler."
Check out Oak St. for the following; Maple Leaf Bar, Squeal BBQ, Z'Ots Coffee House, and Jacques-Imo's Cafe.
Don't pass up the mudbugs & ice cold beer at Cooter Brown's at the end of the St Charles Streetcar line, but do it coming home from the Quarter or you may decide to just chill there all day.
Can't say enough about what a great place this is to stay for a vacation in Na'lenz. We will be going back, overpriced hotels are a thing of the past for me.
