Bachelor Party

5 of 5
6 of us went down there for my buddies bachelor party. We all slept just fine with room to spare. The whole place has a really cool vibe to it. We were also surprised on how close it was to the French Quarters. If I am ever in New Orleans again, we will definently be staying there again.

Gorgeous historical home in a great location!

5 of 5
A few friends and I just stayed at the Victorian Plum this past weekend (there were 8 of us total). As soon as you walk in the front door, you feel like you've stepped into New Orleans of the past. The wood floors and high ceilings are amazing and you really feel like you're in a house built in 1899! Victor is doing a great job of restoring the home in a way that reflects its true character. The neighborhood is one of the best kept secrets of New Orleans. Being a Tulane graduate, I wanted to show my friends a good time in authentic New Orleans without all the touristy gimmicks and crowds of the French Quarter. We were there for the beginning of mardi gras weekend and were able to easily get around and to parades on the street car, which conveniently runs down Carrollton, two blocks away. Uptown, the Garden District, Magazine Street, and the Quarter are all easily accessible via cab or the street car and you are able to come home to a safe, comfortable home without having to be right in the mix of the craziness. This was perfect for us, especially during mardi gras. Victor was a fantastic host and treated us to a delicious breakfast at Camellia Grill down the street and a lunch at Red Fish Grill in the quarter. Both were thoughtful places to send us and really hit the spot. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to all our friends.
