Our memorable stay in NOLA

5 of 5
We spent a month in this wonderful home. Reed was in contact with us prior to our visit and was there when we arrived. He gave us a tour of the house, giving us details on security codes, Wi-Fi settings, cable, kitchen, etc. We felt very secure from the very beginning. During the month we saw him often and he could not have been a more congenial host. The secured gate and off street parking were terrific features. The location is convenient to every area of the city, with Rouse's grocery store and Magazine Street an easy walk. The 3 bedrooms were very comfortable (our teenaged grandsons loved their own rooms, with TV, when they stayed over). The kitchen was great and very conducive to eating around the counter. The house was spotless and the gardens and sitting area outside were wonderful. The bottom line is that we lucked out in every way finding Reed and his gorgeous house. We've already signed up for next year.

Awesome Weekend

5 of 5
We've been to New Orleans several times but have always stayed in the quarter. I have to say staying in the Carrollton area gave us an even better appreciation for New Orleans and a renewed love for the city. The apartment is spacious and very beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. Bed is comfortable. Plenty of sheets and extra comforter. Sleeper sofa in living area. Washer/dryer available. Full size refrigerator. I didn't use the kitchen during this trip but I saw plenty of dishes, coffee pot, pots/pans, microwave, etc. Bathroom is spacious as well. Plenty of towels. Not much for sink space but there is a medicine cabinet for your use above the sink. And there is space in the cabinet under the sink. I never heard the other tenants or renters so its very quiet and calm. The courtyard is spacious with a table outside underneath the trees. The neighborhood is also very quiet. We felt completely safe and secure. Owner is fantastic at being reached when you need her. And she's quick to solve any problem or answer any question you may have. Great restaurants, shops, and bars within walking distance. Go down Oak Street it was the best. Trolley stop is also within walking distance. We saw plenty of people and families walking and strolling around. This is a fantastic location if you want to see another side of NOLA.

Beautiful!

5 of 5
This was our second time staying with VRNOLA and in the same unit. It's absolutely beautiful and very well maintained, you wouldn't know it is used as a rental property. The finishings in the unit are all very nice, hardwood floors, stainless steel, granite, and two great bathrooms. There is plenty of room for your clothes including double closets in each bedroom. Location is AMAZING. Only about 4 blocks from the heart of bourbon street, 5 blocks to Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral and Cafe Du Monde as well as a 20 minute walk to the convention centre. We were in town for a convention so it was great to be able to eat breakfast and make our own coffee before heading out because every restaurant is so busy. There are plenty of amazing restaurants only a short walk from the condo. We got to enjoy a lot of traditional New Orleans fare and some great Italian and French all within a 5-10 minute walk. The free wifi is great especially as business owners. We are able to keep in touch with our clients and staff on a regular basis and not miss out on anything - and it's free! I wouldn't waste my time on a hotel, living in a tiny bedroom for my vacation. This unit was cheaper than the hotel that our organization was staying at for the conference. And in a better location (closer to conference and not on Bourbon Street). It can be a little noisy at night with the action from the House of Blues (which is directly across the road), but it's not near as loud as Bourbon and you really cannot hear it in either of the bedrooms. The first time we rented we had a car. It was very expensive to leave the car in a parking lot for 7 days so this time we didn't rent one. You really don't need one. We took the street car instead ($3-4 for an all day pass) or we walked. There is a car rental place on canal if we really needed to go somewhere for a day. Great location, clean, safe and secure building, and reasonable price. How can you go wrong.
