Stay Alfred Ul1 New Orleans

4 of 5
Great location for getting to every where you want in New Orleans. Most everything is in walking distance. Carondelet street turns into Bourbon St. once you cross Canal. St. Charles Street car stops right by the building. Taxi stand 20 feet from the front door. The streetcar is a noisy when you are trying to go to sleep, but the tv or radio can mask the sound and the Luke restaurant staff can be quite noisy during their breaks. Building itself is very quiet, safe & well maintained. Modern décor. Roof top terrace is a great place to relax after walking the beautiful city. I recommend bringing a blow dryer, just in case there is not one in the apt. The location and comfort of an apt made up for the negatives. We would stay their again.

A Great Place for Family Gathering

5 of 5
My extended family's annual reunion took place in New Orleans over three days. The Jena Street location was very comfortable, very well supplied with both necessities and little extras, very clean and worked well for us. The neighborhood is very accessible, and there are plenty of options for dining or taking out. The rental was decorated very pleasantly as well. The only minor issue was there are so many items in the main living areas of the units, it's a little hard to find space to put extra luggage, equipment, toys, etc. Two or three less small furniture items would make for more comfortable space. The owner was very responsive to all my questions prior to arrival, and very helpful while we were there as well. A rare double lot property with plenty of amenetiies in New Orleans.

Very nice with a couple of warts

5 of 5
First off, yes, we would choose to rent this unit again. Overall, both the building and condo were very nice and comfortable. Front door staff were friendly and helpful. It is only two blocks to the French Quarter and there are plenty of restaurants close by. The cooking tools were as good or better than most other apartment rentals. The pool was a hit with my daughters each evening. Now, for the warts: there must be a problem with the availability of some of the halogen light bulbs. They were missing in the bathroom and LED desk lamps were provided in their place. There was a TV in the bedroom but no electric outlet close enough to plug it in. Only one trash bag was provided for the kitchen (that we found). The CBD is very difficult to walk around due to building reconstruction and sidewalk closures. Also, there are a significant number of panhandlers on all the blocks. To be fair, the CBD issues are issues that all the hotels in the area suffer and are not limited to this property. So, yes, when we visit the French Quarter again, I will definitely stay here again and will consider Stay Alfred accommodations in their other cities.
