VACATION BLISS

5 of 5
My husband and a close friend took our first trip to New Orleans. We had the pleasure of staying at the Dubliner. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip. A warm and adorably cozy home, which is in the ABSOLUTE perfect location for traveling to this culturally rich city. You have quick and easy access to anything your heart desires, including Streetcars, and the highways. Everything we went to was a quick 10-20 minutes away max. The house is fully equipped to make your trip feel like you are still at home. The back porch is to die for and we had some of our best memories drinking wine on the porch and enjoying the rain. Plus the owner is a dream of ease and tranquility to work with. I highly recommend this place for your stay and will be coming back, myself, in the future.

SAVE YOURSELF TIME. DON'T READ THIS. JUST RENT IT.

Well, telling people about this place is like telling people you found the fountain of youth. I want people to know about how great it is and enjoy it, but I don’t want every person going to NOLA to book this place up because my wife and I would go back there in a heartbeat. (I call dibs Ron.) It had been many years since we had been to NOLA and honestly a lot of it was a blur (Mr. Beer meet Mr. Shot). Luckily we found this house and the location couldn't have been better (well it could be if money is no object, but let's be real here if you are millionaire then buy a freaking apartment in NOLA). Easy walking distance to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. One of the few blocks in the area with open parking…great because we had a rental car. The house was awesome. It is a 180 year old home; so don't go expecting cookie cutter, bland perfection. It is in excellent condition and if you have a problem with old homes, then call Best Western and give their corporation your hard earned money at a rate double what Ron charges. When we got to the house we were greeted by Ron and he was more helpful than a bellman with a hand out for a tip. Just an honest owner with a fabulous home for rent and a true love for NOLA. We really can’t say enough about this house. If you want the real NOLA experience and aren’t the type to wet your pants when can’t find your tour group, then rent this place already. Seriously. Stop reading these all of these rambling reviews and book this place already. You will thank me.

Do It

5 of 5
Beyond Expectations. We were 5 middle aged guys meeting up in NOLA for a rare reunion. This location in upper middle class Mid City is perfect. So easy to access any part of the city. You can be at Port of Call on Esplanade in the Quarter for a burger in about 4 minutes or shoot down to Cooter Brown's on Carrolton in Uptown for a beer and a game almost just as quickly. Bring a frisbee or a football because you can literally walk to City Park and the Art museum. The downstairs apt is extremely clean, well decorated and comfortable. Mattresses A+; individually controlled HVAC units and flat screens in every bedroom and living room/den. Laundry Room stocked with all necessary products. You would expect to find the kitchen fridge in a mansion. Come just to see that alone. Visit the hip Pearl Wine Company close by. There's a nice Canseco's Market with everything 2 minutes down Esplanade. The beautifully stained ceilings are low, so if you are 6'3" or taller like me you need to duck in one doorway. The owner's left nothing out when they planned and converted this downstairs living space. I can't imagine that you would be disappointed, and after much research, the asking price is spot on. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
