Fabulous hidden gem

5 of 5
One would never expect what is hidden behind this unassuming door. We spent three fabulous nights here, and our lovely host, Jim, made us feel right at home. This is just steps from anything you could want or need in downtown Lexington, yet the home itself is amazingly quiet. The amenities lacked for nothing, beautifully furnished and comfortable. If you like old homes, which we do, you will appreciate the gorgeous wood floors, tall ceilings, original molding and two foot walls. There is a rooftop deck for your morning coffee or nightcap under the stars, and even your own parking garage. What a thoroughly delightful home away from home. We highly recommend it.

Suited us to the ground!

4 of 5
A delightful property, obviously holding much history that suited our need of 3 adults and 2 children.. It IS the comfiest coach in Kentucky and the decor is top notch. Gave it 4 stars only because we found the kitchen a little less supplied than we had hoped for a self catering unit. Owners are super friendly and super helpful. Lovely experience overall.

Nice house in great location

4 of 5
The property was in a great location and very well cleaned and maintained. It is very close to downtown and a very convenient location for Keeneland as well. Our favorite area was just down the street on 6th street, there was a wonderful brewery and restaurants there, as well as great bars and an excellent coffee and donut shop, all within just a few blocks. The apartment is on the second floor and was nice and relaxing. The living room is well furnished with comfy couches and a nice TV w/ DVD player. The neighbors below were very helpful with any issues that I had and it was nice to have them close by. The owner of the property was also very responsive as well. The only downsides were that the traffic noise is pretty loud in each of the bedrooms, especially in the morning. The beds also were not overly comfortable. Otherwise, great location, huge kitchen, and wonderful outdoor areas.
