Great place, Great time

4 of 5
Our family which lives in New York, Chicago, and Birmingham,AL area, converged on this lovely home for a week. It is clean, neat, well furnished, and in a lovely location. It is surrounded by oak trees, and butternut trees, which serenaded us when the wind blew, as it is October. The beds were so comfortable. We enjoyed most of our meals on the deck, the grill is big and easy to use. The hot tub was an added bonus. My son especially liked having the lower level to escape to,when little ones were noisy and restless. The home is a short drive from Mammouth Cave, the Corvette Museum, General Patton Museum, and Jim Beam distillery, all of which we took in while we were there. The Bee Spring Restaurant is a nice little place, and one should also try the Whistle Stop which is near Jim Beam. Beware that the driveway into the home is quite steep and unless you have all wheel drive, plan on ferrying your stuff into and out of the house.

A Kentucky cabin....

5 of 5
We throughouly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The owners were extremely accomodating to our group. The description was completely accurate along with other information. The cabin was a perfect fit for our group and truly was a home away from home. It was spacious and provided enough room for our large group. I would recommend this cabin to others if they are planning a trip to Kentucky. I enjoyed staying in a home (rather than hotel) and the attractions (Mammoth Cave, Kentucky Down Under, and Dinosaur World) were all within less than an hour drive. If you are looking for peace and quiet and don't care that "the city" (sores, restaurants) is about a 35 minute drive, then this cabin is for you. Thanks again!!

Relaxing vacation

5 of 5
This place was wonderful, peaceful and secluded. My husband did alot of hiking which he loves. I could just relax out on the porch or by the lake with the beautiful scenery. We did all the cooking out in the cabana, which was very nice. All the kids kept busy with the many different possibilities on the property. It was our ideal vacation. We loved it!
