Wonderful Tokyo Accommodation

5 of 5
This accommodation is everything the owners said it would be, and much more. As part of a duplex, it was very spacious, amazingly clean, comfortable, very quiet, close to the subway which could take you everywhere in Tokyo, and the many eating establishments in the area were a big hit with us. The other part of the duplex is occupied by the owners, Ryoko & Kelly, so they are always close by for questions, advice, assistance etc. We had many friendly discussions with Ryoko, and thoroughly enjoyed the discussions and the laughter. The bedrooms were large and spacious, as was the bathroom. We have travelled widely and always look for Wifi and a washing machine with separate dryer in our accommodation. Wifi was very fast here, and it took no time at all to wash and dry clothes. Ryoko was wonderful with the help she gave freely. Her smile constantly lit up the room, and she always made us feel welcome. The large amount of information concerning aspects of life in Tokyo, recommendations, sight seeing locations, maps, local attractions etc. was amazing and removed the stress one normally feels when visiting an unfamiliar city; we would say the best we have encountered anywhere.

old and new tokyo

5 of 5
Sumire house is absolutely perfect! Old neighbourhood in Tokyo only a short walk from Skytree and asakusa and honozon lines which will connect you with all the attractions and beyond. Mana the assistant was just great!!! Made sure we were happy how everything worked and guide of neighbourhood . Mana also let us know that she was available if needed. There are not many old traditional style houses left in Tokyo so Sumire house is a real gem. Right next to a shrine with a view of skytree behind it. The best representation of the old and new we all imagine japan to be. A supermarket approx 10 min by foot and a family mart literally a stones throw away if you forget anything open 24 hrs a day and a pharmacy is about 5mins on foot. Sumire has everything you need for your stay and the beds are sooooooo comfortable. Exploring alternative route to skytree station is a must through the narrow streets of the area. Sorry to leave and wish we had stayed longer. Thank you for the hospitality and hope to stay again .
