WONDERFULLY WARM HOME, PERFECT WAY TO VISIT TOKYO!!

                  5 of 5
We are a family with two young children and stayed here at Kelly and Ryoko Itoh's place and could not have been happier. The house was clean, large, nicely decorated and a home away from home! We arrived to find fresh flowers and fruit, which was so nice after a long trip from DC. Ryoko went out of her way to help us with great suggestions for places to go and things to do, and even helped us get reservations at an onsen, which was a perfect little getaway. The kids really enjoyed having their own room and space to play with their toys, and having a well stocked kitchen and a washer/dryer made the trip run smoothly and effortlessly. I would HIGHLY recommend this house for rental, as the hosts can not be beat, the location is amazing (walking distance to grocery, restaurants, JR, Metro and parks), and the home feels so cozy and sweet. Thank you so much for making our trip so pleasant and memorable!!

                  EXCELLENT PROPERTY. EXCELLENT OWNER.

My family, consisting of myself, wife, and adult son stayed here in early June 2014 during the first phase of our first visit to Japan. We couldn't have done better than to stay at Sumire House while in Tokyo. I had a good feeling well before our arrival in Japan as the Owner/Property Manager Akiko offered to help us with getting tickets to Skytree or any museums we planned to visit. We didn't take her up on it, but she and her husband met us at Oshiage Station upon our arrival in Tokyo and walked with us to the property. Akiko showed us everything and gave us the rundown on transit, etc. The property is just steps from a bus route that will take you to Asakusa where there is a lot of shopping and places to eat. In less than 15 minutes you can walk to Skytree where there is a huge new shopping mall and the train station. This was the perfect place for us and we definitely want to stay here again. Everything in the home is very clean and in good working order. The washer/dryer was an especially nice feature. We highly recommend this gem for it's convenience, cleanliness, and for the wonderful owner/property manager. There is a nice Food Mart steps away where you can get coffee every morning. If you stay here try the Okonomiyaki restaurant just down the street or the Sushi restaurant right around the corner. If you don't want to walk too much, take the bus to Asakusa and get on the subway there instead of walking to Oshiage/Skytree. Thank you Akiko and Hide! We look forward to seeing you again!

HIDDEN GEM IN QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD IN TOKYO

                  5 of 5
The tokhouse was fantastic. We were a family with small children and had a friend join us too. So pleased we stayed here. Very convenient for exploring Tokyo. The house is traditional yet had all the gadgets and gizmos of the 21st century. We loved putting our futons each night and setting the screens to separate the room for privacy. The house was very clean and well equipped. There is a supermarket ls around the corner across the road and it is very close to the station. There are great restaurants in the area too. Would stay again!
