Great apartment. Awesome view. Looks brand new.

5 of 5
Thanks for arranging to make our stay in Tokyo a pleasant one. It was my second time to Japan but for the rest of my family it was their first time. The view from the apartment was fabulous. On clear days we could see Mt. Fujii right out in front of us! Getting the keys was easy. Met Scott outside the 7-11. Very friendly service and lots of advice on things to do and places to go. The apartment building is right on top of the station. Supermarket right there. Drug store on the second floor. Since it was so close to Tsujkiji market we could wake up very early in the morning and get over to to see all the action, then get back to the apartment for breakfast before going out for the rest of the day. It only took a minute to get down to the subway station so we could get around the city very easily. The train system in Tokyo is amazing. Clean, safe and signs in English too. It was really convenient for us to have this ‘home base’ right in the middle of Tokyo. The internet connection was very good, helped keep our kids occupied when we were back at the apartment relaxing after a long and fun day seeing the sites of the city. The Apple TV was an added bonus so we could log into our accounts to watch shows and sporting events that we like. Being able to cook, clean and relax in a spacious apartment as a whole family was really great. Everything we needed was available. Staying in a hotel means at least two rooms for us but this way we got to spend more time together as a family throughout the trip. Definitely enough space for our two gangly teens and 10-year-old daughter (who liked all the kids books you had under the TV too!). Thanks again, we look forward to seeing you again on our next trip to Japan. It’s a fantastic country with so many things to do. We can’t wait to come back.

Perfect location with all amenities

4 of 5
It is hard to imagine a better location for seeing the main Kyoto sights - most of the temples, walks, river and shops are all within walking distance. The place itself is as described and we found it clean and with everything in working order. Sliding doors allow for separation of sleeping and cooking/ eating areas making the house more than just a studio. The bathroom works well. The area is very quiet; even though it is only a few metres from two busy roads you have to strain to hear the traffic most of the time. We encountered what may be the only downside. We were there during a cold snap and found the insulation wanting. In particular the gaps between the door and the frame allowed cold air to enter freely. This is a relatively minor quibble though. We would happily recommend Nodoko-An to anyone spending more than overnight in,Kyoto. And the local pub/restaurant Bamboo is terrific. Worth crossing town for but you only have to walk 100 metres.

Great place, great location,

5 of 5
I actually live in Kyoto and I booked this place for my parents. I knew the location was good, as I wanted somewhere they could check out some sights, and also be close to home for a rest. The actual house was brilliant. Very comfortable for them; great TV, kitchen, showers etc, and heated floors( something that really makes a difference). They loved Kyoto, and I have no doubt the comfort they enjoyed here added to that.
