Excellent property, great location

5 of 5
The property is centrally located, easy to get to from Kyoto station with easy access to buses etc. It was superbly equipped, very comfortable and relaxing. Best of all the owner was very helpful prior to our travel and then was on hand to help with advice on where to visit, where to eat, and making things as easy as possible. Definitely one of the best places to stay if you are visiting Kyoto.

Pleasant experience

5 of 5
We travelled as a group of 11 people to kyoto and stayed in K's villa for three nights. It has two houses with a corridor to connect each house. The rooms are very clean. And it is our first time to stay in Japan styles houses. We like the house, and our main bed room has beautiful riverside views. The transportation from here to the JR station and dining area is very convenient either by taxi or bus. Taxi fee to the JR station is around 700. And the washing machine and drying machine are helpful as it's summer time and we have 11 people. We like this house and hope we can be back to stay here again. The only shortness for us is that when we come back late the washing room is a little busy for 7 people to use.

Quaint Gorgeous Accommodation

5 of 5
Rico's property in Gion was the perfect place for us to stay for our brief visit to Kyoto. Rico was an amazing host, so very helpful. It was like meeting up with an old friend. I received lots of information prior to our stay about getting there and she greeted us when we arrived in the early evening. It was a surprise realising there were no windows and natural light downstairs in the home, but this was the only thing I noticed negative about the property if I had to choose something. Also be aware the ceilings are very low if you are a tall person (thankfully my family are quite short so it didn't matter to us) The house was warm inviting and traditional. The futon's on the tatami floors were very clean, comfortable and there was plenty of room upstairs. It was also great having our own fridge, and kitchen to use and of course a washing machine (with provided detergent) with the little area upstairs to hang our washing out was wonderful. The bathroom with separate toilet and hand basin area was very user friendly and clean. The shower was nice and hot too! We loved the streets and ally the home is on and enjoyed evening walks in the area to eat some delicious Japanese food - we also caught a sneak of some Geisha! Overall everything about Rico's accommodation was wonderful, I just wish I had have been able to stay longer and soak up more of the area and Kyoto.
