Many of the reviews cover everything that can be said - great location, modern facilities meets traditional design, comfortable beds with high thread count sheets. We wanted to add more information about staying here with small children. We have a 9 month old baby and 3.5 year old boy. We all enjoyed the house but we could never quite relax as there are many places for the baby to fall off (the steep stairs and the entrance in the main living space). The child's futon was very thin and had no pillow. We purchased an extra bean pillow at the local supermarket for our son because the ones on the adult beds were so comfortable. It has a very small kitchen with little storage, so a bit difficult to prepare everything away from the kids. This is not a criticism of the house because we did manage okay and enjoyed our stay, but I wanted to make other guests aware when staying with young kids. It would be fine for anybody with children older than toddlers.
