Authentic getaway with friends and good pricing

5 of 5
This review is a bit overdue but do not pass on this gem. Not only will you have a very comfortable room with breathtaking views of the Caribbean, you will have the most conscientious, service oriented, staff you could ever want. Open air/ Ocean breeze away from the touristy artificial feel but close enough to Ocho Rios when desired. Stayed here for two weeks back in October 2014 with 6 other friends, the owner/operator provided us with a lot of recommendations (had the feel of a customized easy do it your-selfer guide) to do around the area with a couple of North coast must see visits. The family that runs the villa also has family that operates taxi service, so we had access to a safe/dependable driver when needed.

Beautiful location

5 of 5
The condo is exactly as pictured. It has all the items you will need to enjoy your stay. My favorite part is the location! You are close to every tourist spot in Ocho Rios. You are actually in walking distance but the condo sits on hills. Due to the fact it sits on hills, you have wonderful views of the ocean and pook right outside the front door!

Safe, beautiful vacation therapy

5 of 5
4 over 40 girlfriends thinking we were so brave heading down to the "wilds" of Jamaica, off the beaten path, and it turned out to be the funnest, safest, most enjoyable vacation ever! Mia's fabulous info was passed on to us so promptly, almost anticipating our concerns and needs. She had Deano pick us up after patties and Red Stripe at MBJ arrivals, straight to Boscobel to swim and unwind, knowing Paulette's famous beef stew and Deano's rum punch was awaiting us; relaxed completely the first night and forgot that we were supposed to be "worried". Paulette came back the next morning, made codfish and ackee for breakfast (try it!!) and then took us out to the street to catch the taxi/bus? to the market. Gotta see that. Mia's game plan worked, all went smoothly, nothing to fear, nobody hassling us, nearby places to walk to, new food discoveries, great little dogs, and what wonderful people! I loved having my own room and private bathroom, the view of the sea was outrageous, Paulette and John were super-helpful, and we each spent less than budgeted though we toured around and saw a lot of the local sites. Deano was fun, helpful, and reasonable. The trip to Blue Hole was one of the best days of my life, and in the end we had no regrets other than not being able to stay longer! This traveler's tip: It's worth it to have Paulette and John do all the cooking when you're staying in, then let your focus be to snorkel out to the reef, relax on the beach, in the hammock, on the patio, get a massage, plan excursions, take lots of pictures, post them on Facebook and make everyone jealous! Isn't that what a great vacation's all about?!
