Heavenly Bliss!!!

5 of 5
There are no words to describe how wonderful our vacation was. We had a group of six that included myself, my husband, two son's (21 & 17) as well as my Mother and Mother-in-Law and we absolutley LOVED your house. From the time we met up with Cutty, to the arrival at Cabarita Lookout, where we were graciously met by Sharon and Devon, to the final airport dropouff, we were treated like royalty. I must say that we were very inpressed with the house and that it that looked EXACTLY like the pictures. Sharon and Cutty were so nice and welcoming that it was a breeze to make arrangements for dinner and sightseeing. The views are spectacular. Each morning, we awoke to see the sunrise from out private balcony and each morning we'd find Cutty quietly going about his routine. Zeko, the "guard" dog, was an added pleasure as my Mother-in-Law was missing her own dog. We loved being away from the tourist areas and relished our time in the real Jamaica. As my husband and Mother-in-Law are natives, we had a chance to visit family that we'd not seen in years. The relaxing atmosphere, welcoming staff, beautiful house, and magnificent views were wonderful. The food was amazing as Sharon is an excellent cook. The tradtional breakfast of ackee and saltfish, not to mention rasta eggs, boiled bananas, fresh pineapple and mango and johnnycakes paired with guava jelly were delicious. My youngest, who celebrated his birthday while there, had a dinner fieast which included lobster, brown stewed snapper, fried plantain, rice and peas, garlic potatoes, tossed salad and his favorite, chocolate cake. Yum! Mind you, the seafood was freshly caught that same morning. We did manage to do a bit more than eat. We enjoyed Reggae Beach (Bamboo Beach), Ocho Rios, drives along the coast and of course FirefIy. We even managed to sneak in a trip to Devon House. I loved every moment and hated that the week only consisted of 7 days. I'd say that this is among the top two of my all time favorite vacations and I LOVE to vacation. I will definitely be returning and have already shared Cabarita Lookout with family and friends. Pam thank you and your husband for allowing us to share your beauitful home. You were always available to answer all of my questions, via phone and email thus taking away any doubts that I may have had. Your home is truly Heavenly Bliss.

Delightful Family Affair

5 of 5
My family from the USA met up with those on the island and had a family reunion of sorts… they were all amazed by the house and the staff were more than welcoming. We were able to get directions to local hidden treasures… Blue Hole, Little Dunn's River and more from the staff, all of which were fantastic. The staff (Stacey, Ricardo, and Sonita) were led by Ms. Millicent, the house manager, were all fantastic and the food they prepared was soooo good,my family requested the same meals two days in a row. The house was just as the pictures portrayed them, if not better. The walk to the community beach was short and the gated community afforded us the ability to job/walk close by.

Wonderful waterfront ultra private villa!

5 of 5
The property is very lovely with cool tile floors and balconies that look out over the ocean. We particularly enjoyed the second floor balcony and spent a lot of time up there in the afternoons and evenings, when we weren't down by the water. On one of the afternoons it showered and we had a rainbow over us while we were in the water which was pretty cool! Mia is fantastic and replies to emails very quickly. Everything she told us was right on. The advice about the exchange of money was very helpful. You have to visit Dunn's River Falls, it was great. Pictures of the property are very accurate. Our daughter took some great ones that we plan to upload to Mia's shutterfly account when our daughter returns from college. I have to say, going to sleep with the sound of the ocean is absolutely the best. You can hear a bit of music from the nearby Beaches resort, but it really doesn't pose a problem. There is a fair amount of boating traffic from the resort, which can be an issue if you want to swim out to the reef. I think a few life jackets on hand would be nice for those of us who are concerned about getting a cramp or something when swimming out to the reef. We wanted to go out there, but didn't want to chance it without any floatation devices. My husband and daughters snorkeled along the shoreline and got some great pictures of fish, an eel, and coral. We got pictures of a small stingray from the second floor balcony too (our daughter has a great zoom lens). Having Paulette and John to assist with our stay was great. Paulette cooked a nice stew for us and did some light shopping to start us off and that was very nice. Both of them are two of the nicest people you could meet. John took great care of the grounds, including the beach on a daily basis. He kept watch while we were swimming and kept strangers off the beach. There is a small vendor stand on the beach, but they didn't bother us at all. They were very nice. Because we didn't know Jamaica at all, we didn't rent a vehicle, and in retrospect probably would next time. Hiring someone to drive you places can get expensive so guests will need to plan for that. Overall, this was a wonderful vacation. Very relaxing, quiet and peaceful. The views were spectacular and the beach is clean and sandy. The little sand crabs are so entertaining to watch. They don't bother you at all, but look so interesting in photos. We highly recommend Mia Forbes and this villa property!
