Magical stay in Tuscany!

5 of 5
I have recently returned from such a wonderful visit to Tuscany. Staying at this beautiful property in the Tuscan Hills amid olive orchards was a special experience. Driving up to the house hoping to catch sight of a pheasant, and then arriving to the Terrace House with its beautiful vines and potted citrus was a dream come true. This rental consists of two lovely homes, fully appointed with modern conveniences yet oozing with charm of a Tuscan Lifestyle. The pool looked so inviting but i will have to come back in the summer to giive it a try! That being said, my 10 day visit was during perfect fall weather, warm days and cool nights. The terrace is a perect spot for an al fresco meal or cocktails while overlooking the city. However, not t be missed are the many local restaura A special thank you to the owners who were more than happy to offers suggestions and advice on things to do, places to eat and shop. The housekeeper, Paola, has a winning nts . The owners can recommend many possibilities but i especially enjoyed Antica locanda di Sesto, Guzzanello and the local pizza establishment in the little village behind the house. Another favorite experience was the hike up the hills behind the house to the Croce di Brancoli. A huge cross rising above the area that can be seen from miles around. It takes about 2 hours round trip from Leonida and offers outstanding panoramic views of the area. Another treat not to be missed is a trip to the old city of Lucca. This is a walled city and a stroll along the wall is a tradition among locals and visitors alike. The cafes and shopping inside are varied and and jsut window shopping is a feast for the eyes. I bought a beautiful hand made leather purse and a pair of boots. The prices were reasonable and i couldnt have been more excited. I am looking forward to my next visit here and hoping to bring family. the two houses together have 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and each has a beautiful kitchen,. There is much more exploring to do and possibly lend a hand in the local olive harvest, yum!

Exquisite Tuscan Villa

5 of 5
At the outskirts of Buonconvento you follow the Neci sign down a cypress lined road and arrive at the ornate gates to enter the Agricolo estate, and greeted by the estate dog, Bruno. You feel like you’ve been transported back to Old Tuscany with modern amenities. Patrick, Marta and Gregoria made us feel like family. This is a beautiful Tuscan Villa. We explored the 642 acres on the golf carts and visited the lake and kayaks. Each room has a small kitchen. In addition, the large central meeting place offered seating for 10, a fireplace, a full kitchen and barbeque. Agricola Neci felt like a private oasis. It is secluded, yet a short drive to Buonoconvento for shops and eating. While staying 3 nights one day we took a short drive to Siena. Another day we explored the Montalcino wine country. The highlight of our trip! We would highly recommend Agricolo Neci!

Magical!

5 of 5
I just spent my 50th birthday with a group of 12 at Podere Baiocco and I must say that it exceeded all of my expectations. The villa is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. It is also spotlessly clean and each room is large, unique and has it's own large private bathroom. I have traveled all over Italy and have never had the pleasure of a large bathroom .. another wonderful surprise was the amazing water pressure in the showers! Everyone in our party slept well as the beds were incredibly comfortable! There are numerous outdoor spaces for eating, gathering and hanging out. We arrived and had arranged with Jacopo for two vans to pick us up at the airport in Rome. It was early (before check-in) so the drivers took us to the town of Citta Della Pieve a mile away and much to our delight Jacopo had arranged for a translator to meet us in town, show us around and take us to the restaurant where Jacopo had made us a lunch reservation. The drivers then dropped off our luggage at the villa so it would be there for us on arrival. Jacopo arranged for us to be picked up after lunch and taken to the villa. After traveling all day it was so nice not to have to think about a thing as it was all taken care of by our wonderful host Jacopo. We had arranged both the welcome dinner and the traditional tuscan dinner and both were amazing. Jacopo prepared the best lasagna that any of us had ever eaten. All of the food was fabulous. We had the breakfast at the villa daily and it was also terrific. A nice selection of breakfast foods and everything was delicious. I will miss my daily cappuccino! Every night we used the fireplace in the living room and had our fireside chats. The setting of this villa with beautiful landscape surrounded by olive trees is something out of a movie. We rented cars and they were waiting at the villa for us. We traveled to many nearby towns and explored the beautiful countryside. Jacopo arranged for lunch and a tour at the winery Corte Pavone. Amazing scenery, lunch and wine .. don't miss this. I hope to return some day to this magical place in Tuscany. Jacopo is a wonderful host and from the moment we booked he did everything he could to accommodate us. I am forever grateful.
