Our family stayed four nights here and it was wonderful! Everything was as expected.
Arrival was a little bit difficult, we took the Trenitalia train to Naples and then the Circumvesuviana to Sorrento, except we accidentally got on the train to Sarno and it took us about 8 or 10 stops to realize it... so we had to get off, get on another train, come back to Naples, and then get on the right train to Sorrento. We were supposed to arrive by 7pm but unfortunately we were late. We took a taxi with all our luggage (5 people with 2-3 bags each) from Sorrento to Massa Lubrense where we were met by Serena and her mom (they accommodated our late arrival). They were very friendly and welcoming and they drove us to the Villa which is just a few minutes from the Massa Lubrense town center. When we got to the Villa they showed us around, answered our questions, and shared some homemade Limoncello with us!! They helped us make arrangements to tour the Amalfi Coast with a driver, which was amazing.
Like other reviewers, we were never really able to figure out how to take the bus from Sorrento to Massa Lubrense so we had to take a taxi every time (about 40 euros), even though my brother speaks fluent Italian. Everyone had a different answer on where the bus stop was and it seemed like the right bus never came. It wasn't a big deal, though.
There is a walking path from the Villa to Massa Lubrense center which made things easy for us. There is a wonderful restaurant called Ristorante Il Cantuccio I think it was? The food was amazing and so were the views. We enjoyed eating there multiple times during our stay! Make sure to try the Focaccia and Citrus Risotto.
I would definitely recommend this Villa for your vacation! Beautiful location, wonderful person to work with (the family lives downstairs), very safe neighborhood, good food! We loved our stay in Massa Lubrense!
