My husband and I stayed here for a week with our 13 year old grandson. He really liked having his "own room" with the very comfortable (and easy to operate) sofa bed. We liked having a separate bedroom oasis. The bathroom was well designed with an amazing shower and plenty of towels. Lighting was good and the Air Conditioning and ceiling fan kept the apartment very comfortable even on very hot days. The WiFi worked well. We found it amusing that we never knew which cell phone carrier would show up on our phone. We counted at least 5 and moving from one spot to another would usually change the carrier. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. It is a very efficient apartment and has been well thought out to provide the highest standards of comfort. It is even better than the pictures show.
Romula and her husband are very, very helpful no matter what questions you have or what you may need. From arranging for us to be picked up at the airport to talking to the cab driver when we headed back to Termini, nothing was too much trouble. In spite of train issues between Rome and Pompeii, Romula made sure we got where we needed to go when we needed to go there. Thank you!
The area is a very interesting one and there are many restaurants nearby. Alle Frate and Osteria Pizzeria da Otello were two of our favorites. Our grandson was particularly happy about Fior di Luna, the gelateria just steps away from our door. We had gelato there at least once a day, and although we tried other places, this was our favorite. Although Trastevere is thronged with tourists, we could step into our little alley and be at peace.
Should we return to Rome, there is no where else we would want to stay and would heartily recommend it to our friends.
