As the owners of a vacation home ourselves, my husband and I selected this lovely apartment to experience 2 weeks in Rome. It turned out to be perfect! It is located in picturesque Trastevere. The neighborhood of Trastevere can get busy with tourists coming to shop and dine. This apartment, however, is located down a charming lane a short distance away from the action in Trastevere. Once the door is closed, the apartment is extremely quiet and feels like an oasis in the middle of Rome. It is safe and secure. You are not disturbed by the sound outside except for the dreamy sound of church bells from time to time.
The photos do not do justice to this apartment. It is much roomier than it appears in the pictures. It is well appointed and has everything you could possibly need. The apartment is beautifully decorated, comfortable, with lots of extras. One thing I appreciated that is not mentioned in the description of this property is the telephone with free local calls. That made it easy to make restaurant reservations without the expense of calling from my cell phone.
The location is excellent. The apartment is centrally located and surrounded by lovely restaurants, gelaterias, and pizzerias. It is an easy walk to the piazza to catch the tram to take you near major historical sites. For those who prefer to ride instead of walk, there is a taxi stand at the piazza. Taxis in Rome are relatively inexpensive.
The apartment’s owners, Romula and Claudio, have thought of everything, even a Rick Steves guidebook. They are the best hosts! We felt so welcome in their home. They are sweet, kind and willing to assist guests with anything you need. You could not want more from an owner. They are accommodating and anticipate the needs of their guests. Romula even accompanied us on personal business we had to take care of at several locations in the city.
You truly feel like a special guest when you stay here. This is the place my husband and I would stay on our next trip to Rome.
