This apartment was surprisingly spacious! There were four of us, and it was perfect. It's pretty close to the Ottaviano metro station, so it's easy to get to the rest of Rome. It's walking distance to the Vatican. As others have said, there is a decent grocery store not too far away. As you come out of the door of the building, turn right. Go two blocks and then turn right again. When the owner gave us directions, I think he told us left instead of right. There's also a 24 hour Carrefour, but it's more like a convenience store than a grocery. There are also lots of mom & pop bakeries, butcher shops, and fruit stands nearby, so finding supplies should not be difficult. The apartment is pretty well stocked with pans and dishes. As others have said, the street looks a little run down, but it seemed completely safe in reality. We met a couple of other people in the building, and they were very friendly. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.
