We have just returned back to the US from a week at Casa Bianca in Praiano, and it's been a challenge getting back to the real world! We absolutely loved our stay and everything about it. We loved that we chose Praiano, as it had just enough activity for us, without being too overcrowded and overrun by tourists, and has retained it's original charm. We loved the location of the villa, in upper, more residential Praiano, in a beautiful square where we could watch local kids play ball and the old-timers watching the world go by. The owner of the property, Annamaria, was so helpful and accommodating. Even before our arrival, she was responding to my emails right away and putting us at ease with clear directions and instructions. Finding the place was easy, too, thanks to her. She even took care of the parking permit for us, as we had a rental car. Her suggestions on where to go, how to get there, what to do, etc. were invaluable. e.g. she mentioned a store that delivered groceries to our door, how convenient! We would have never known.
The villa itself was immaculate. Absolutely spotless, inside and out. It had everything we needed and more. From crisp linens to tomatoes in the garden. We are a family of 4, with a 10 y old daughter and a 4 month old baby, and we had more than enough space, as the villa is really spacious and full of light. The bathrooms were very clean and modern, yet with a rustic touch of some of the original fixtures.
We feel lucky to have found this property, and it is by far our favorite HomeAway. Please look no further as it is a very rare find. You can easily reach everything Amalfi Cast has to offer. We hiked the Path of Gods, spent a day in Ravello, took a boat trip to Capri, went shopping in Positano, stopped by Pompeii on the way to the airport and enjoyed the Praiano beach. Our only regret was not having enough time to enjoy this beautiful villa. If possible, please ask Annamaria if her husband is available to cook for you. We did and it was the best meal we've had during our entire stay... Incredibly fresh seafood, pasta, tiramisu, limoncello made from their lemons.... Felt like we were treated to a feast at our Italian family house.
