Amazing View with a Spacious & Private Terrace

5 of 5
Bolero A is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Praiano, Italy. If your objective is visit the many towns of the Amalfi Coast but be away from the hustle and bustle and noise that comes with being in the centre of a busy tourist town, this apartment is the place to stay. It is ideally located between Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are roomy, well-appointed and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is stocked with most everything that you would need if you were planning on cooking your own meals. The owners had a lovely bottle of wine and munchies waiting for us which was a nice touch. Luca provided explanation on where to catch the bus, where the local markets are located and a binder full of other useful information The rental company also provided, for a nominal fee, the choice of having our fridge and pantry stocked prior to our arrival. We took advantage of this service as we were arriving late and the grocery store would be closed. An itemized grocery list with prices was provided in advance of your arrival as part of the check in process. It was great to arrive at the apartment with a fridge stocked with our morning essential, as well as, fresh salad, bocconcini, prosciutto, local olives and wines, etc. All of which we got to enjoy upon are arrival on the wonderfully spacious terrace, under the stars looking out over the sea. It was a view that we were fortunate enough to enjoy each and every night while sipping local limoncello, Prosecco or local wines. We also were treated to amazing fireworks most nights thanks to the location of this wonderful apartment with the views of the mountains above and Tyrrhenian Sea below. Praiano does not have a Piazza in the centre of village like most other towns. The Bolero A has two local grocery stores and Pizzeria nearby. Getting from town to town was fairly easy utilizing the local bus transportation. The Inter-Praiano and Positano bus was an easy 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop at the Comune Di Praiano (City Hall) and the tickets could be purchased at the Tutto per Tutti Market. The bus stop for buses to other parts of the Amalfi Coast was a good 15 minute walk down to the road below by taking several steps down. The bus tickets could be purchased at the local Tabacchi. I would most definitely stay at the Bolero A again & book with Domenico who was very professional with prompt responses to my e-mails and a very efficient booking process.

Exceeds expectations!

5 of 5
This apartment is fabulous! Of the other apartments and the hotel in the immediate area, it is the closest to the water. It has so many pluses -- a pleasant sitting room, a comfortable bedroom with screen doors, and a gorgeous, well-appointed terrace with sunshaded deck chairs, a table and chairs and a lovely pine tree for shade. We spent a lot of time relaxing there. The bathroom is not shown in the photos, but in addition to the necessaries, it has a fan, a large sink, and a long tub with a hand showerhead. Other things we love about this place: the close proximity of a small beach with boat excursion possibilities and a walking path by the ocean, four restaurants within a two-minute walk (Bar Mare and Il Pirata are our favorites), a home delivery service for groceries, and a private parking area (we had a rental car). The steps to and from the street can be daunting, especially if you have heavy or bulky bags. If driving, you have the option of temporarily parking near the beach and taking bags to the apartment that way; it is a flatter walk for most of the way. Domenico was extremely helpful. He answered email very quickly, both during the reservation process and during our stay. He was waiting for us at the agreed place, showed us to the apartment parking and cheerfully grabbed our heaviest bag, for which we were grateful :-) . The checkin process was pleasant and efficient, and he showed us how to operate things in the house and gave thorough explanations of the public transport options in the area, including buses with routes along the Coast, and a shuttle between Positano and Praiano.

Best location on the Amalfi Coast!!

5 of 5
Our family of 4, just spent five memorable days in this Beautiful little town of Praiano. Casa Vincenza is exactly as shown in the pictures only it actually feels larger. It was impeccably clean, very nicely decorated and has a mesmerizing view. The location is excellent because you really are living amongst the locals who are extremely kind and friendly. The Path of The Gods can be easily accessed just by taking one of the local residential paths located under 5 minutes away. There is a market for food, pharmacy, coffee bar, lots of restaurants and the main bus all very handy as soon as you reach the street. There were no real negatives to mention about Casa Vincenza however just a few things to consider when looking at this location. There isn't any heat but the windows and doors are new and very high quality and the owner provides extra blankets if needed. There are 300 steps up from the main road where the shops etc are located. It's a really pretty walk though and it's fun to chat with the locals. The owners speak limited English so it's difficult to communicate. Parking is provided at an extra cost however if its not during the busy season, there is free parking on the street above the villa. We definitely feel that we stayed in the perfect place for us and would highly recommend it.
