Everything you thought Tuscany should be!

5 of 5
We were two families and we each had our own house. Every bedroom had a bathroom. We loved morning coffee on the lower Terrance and we sipped Proseco there at night. It was a wonderful vacation and the restaurant within walking distance was a big surprise. We ate there 5 nights and cooked 2 nights on the grill. The hike up the mountain was fabulous and driving up through the orchard was exciting to say the least. Paola kept a clean and beautiful home for us and was always available. The owner Sharon was also available and we were lucky to meet her during our stay. It is everything you see in the pictures of Tuscany!

Incredible Hospitality

5 of 5
This is the 3rd time we stayed at this property over the years. It is owned and run lovingly by a local family. The property is peaceful, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. Owners were extremely hospitable and caring. With horse and sheep in the backyard, grapes and olive trees, you have the feel of a farm, but with the city of Lucca only 15 minutes away, as well the coast and Florence not too far away for day-trips. Owners were just a phone call away and they visited property to clean pool etc., but were never in the way. At check-in we were met by the Owner and given instructions on the house. There was also a box in the Living Area with local maps, attractions, and itineraries. We like to shop at the local markets and cook and the kitchen was well-equipped, including an interior wood-burning pizza oven, multiple types of coffee makers, a full-size refrigerator and a backup one. There is a huge Dining Room table as well as a large dining area outside. I highly recommend this home, for any size group. This time we were 2 families, with a total of 4 adults, and 5 teenager/young adults. The pool area is fully fenced off for small children, and we stayed here when our children were younger as well. There is also a large grassy area in the backyard to play soccer, and 2 mountain bikes. With our 9 total there was plenty of space to spread out. We could have easily accommodated the 15 beds if need with privacy for all. We have rented other properties in Italy and I give this property an Outstanding grade. In summary, I didn't want to leave!

Residenza Mansi

5 of 5
This is an excellent property to rent for a family of 6 to 8. The location is perfect to cover the area inside the walls of Lucca and is conveniently close to the Bus station. Moreover, Charles has a very comprehensive collection of maps and books on the area which are very useful if you have not visited this location previously. We heartedly agree with the recommendations provided by Charles for restaurants and the fresh pasta made on Via Crocifisso is to die for. This property has ALL the home comforts you could ask for including a separate Wi room for the children to play their electronic games without annoying the adults. And even though there were Rock Concerts going on a night it was blissfully quiet inside. Andrea provided all the customer service we required and the Pizza Bomba at Cafe Rustichella will bring us back to Lucca one day - if we live long enough!
