BEST STAY EVER!!!

5 of 5
My husband, myself and our 13 year old daughter stayed in Beatrice's rental for 4 nights and boy do we wish we stayed longer! You will NOT be disappointed with this place - it is a SUPER location - IDEAL location - with the sweetest hostess ever, Beatrice. The apartment is located at the end of the Ponte Vecchio jewelers bridge, where there are many shops, a great market, great gelato and food all within steps of this apartment. You are off the 'touristy' side, which is nice because at night, it's calm and peaceful. If you are out and about early or late, you can walk the streets and enjoy it's beauty without all the people. It is a short walk to EVERYTHING! That was the best part about this place was you could get everywhere with a short 5-10(max) walk! Yippee! You can even walk to the train station which is about 10-12 minutes. So convenient! Beatrice is so easygoing, friendly, welcoming and helpful. She gave us GREAT maps, GREAT advice for places to eat/not to eat, and helped us with tourist attractions/times, etc. She answers texts and emails quickly and was so great during our stay. The building itself is super secure and the apartment is as well. The apartment had all the basics, comfortable bed, sheets, towels, hot water, coffee, kitchen supplies, iron, blow-dryer, etc. The shower is a bit small, so prepare for that - but if you know anything about Europe, most of the showers are small! :) I guess I misunderstood and thought shampoo, was going to be provided but it was not, but it was no problem as I just went and bought some at the market across the street. The TV/cable was great but we didn't use it because there is far better stuff to do in Florence than watch tv! ;) I actually can't wait to come back to Beatrice's place, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since we left!!! You won't be sorry while staying here!!! Aside from Beatrice's recommendations, we found two GEM places to eat SO close to this apartment: Restaurant O'14/Oltarno 14 and Gelateria Della Passera. We went back to O'14 FOUR times, yes, it is that good. Clean, so reasonably priced, Vito the owner is sweet as can be and their food is TO DIE FOR! Gelateria is about 2 minutes from the apt. off an alley in front of you, and has homemade artisan gelato for CHEAP and it's the best we found in all of Firenze. HOPE YOU ENJOY FIRENZE AND THIS APARTMENT AS MUCH AS WE DID!!! Thank you Beatrice!!!

WISH I COULD GIVE 10 STARS!

Staying at this beautiful apartment was definitely a highlight of our trip. It was amazing! Jack and Leonardo were extremely helpful from first inquiry contact through checkout. They could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. It was a pleasure to meet Leonardo in person upon arrival after having emailed questions and plans. He was very friendly, spoke perfect English, and provided all of the necessary information we needed for a very pleasant stay. He also arranged for a taxi to take us to the train when we were leaving. (Be sure to check out the coffee table book that shows Leonardo's master woodworking skills.) We were especially grateful that we were allowed to have a late checkout (at no extra charge) because no one was arriving the day we were leaving. This enabled us to pack more activities into our time and not worry about where to store luggage. We thought that was most gracious of Jack and Leonardo. The apartment is exactly as described and shown in the photos. It is absolutely beautiful, immaculate, and well-equipped. And HUGE! There is a long (90 foot) hall, off of which are all the rooms - living room, dining room and study on one side; kitchen, bedroom/bath, bedroom/sitting room/bath (suite) on the other side; master bedroom/bath at the end. When we arrived, my husband asked which door was ours, not realizing ALL of the rooms made up the apartment! It is gorgeous, as you can see from the photos. We loved hanging out in the big living room. The kitchen was fantastic. Very nice to have a clothes dryer. All top-end appliances. The bathrooms were great. My daughter enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. Lots of storage and hangers provided. No problem of any kind whatsoever. It was amazing to stay here - we felt like royalty! The location is nice. It's about a 15 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio or the Duomo. It was nice to get away from the crowds and have a quiet place for the evening. There is an excellent supermarket - Esselunca - about 1/2 mile down Via Pisano (away from town) - easy walk - just stay on same side of street as the apartment to make it easier to cross at the traffic circle by the market. Do NOT go to Trattoria Sabatino - we tried it because it was the closest - just through the gate - but it was awful food and service. Should have gone to the couple of places that were indicated as favorites on the sheet in the helpful info binder. Completely recommend this apartment with absolutely no reservation whatsoever!

EXCELLENT LOCATION, DELIGHTFUL APARTMENT.

4 of 5
I recommend this apartment. It is as advertised. Francesco was very helpful and responsive to emails. It is terrific to have an apartment with the necessary equipment to cook, even a dishwasher! The bed is extra large and reasonably comfortable. The sofa bed is also good. The air conditioning is not strong but helps with the Tuscan heat. There are interesting roof top views from the windows. The location is perfect, away from the tourists but close to Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace, good restaurants, gelato stores and a supermarket. Walking distance to all the major sights. And there is a lift - slow and small, but better than three floors of stairs at the end of a long day of touring.
