My husband (late 60s), my daughter (30) and I (early 60s) stayed at Luca's apartment in early May. Prior to our arrival, Luca provided us with specific and detailed information that helped ease our anxiety regarding our 2nd international VRBO adventure. He was extremely and quickly responsive to my rush of questions, and helped us find his location with ease. The building is very old and charming, with 82 (yes we counted) steps up to our apartment! We felt the history with each step, which was much easier for our daughter to handle multiple times a day, but manageable for us at least once per day. The unit is relatively small with two bedrooms having wonderful views (master has view of the Duomo and you can almost touch it), one bathroom, and a very small living space with cooking area (no windows but skylight with view of Bell Tower--I think!). It was comfortable and perfect location for walking through most of the ancient areas of Florence, including Boboli Gardens, which is well worth the walk. We also enjoyed the Hop on Hop off Bus! Luca was very helpful on our departure, dragging our luggage down the steps and helping us find a cab to the train station after our 4 night stay. We really felt we had made a friend in Florence!
