Nice apartment, perfect location

5 of 5
My daughter and I stayed in this apartment in October/2014 for 4 nights. The apartment is in a perfect location for sightseeing in Florence. It is spacious, very clean, nice BIG shower, cute and adequate kitchen and comfy bed. Barbara as many have mentioned is very sweet and gracious. She allowed us access to the apartment a few hours before check in and gave us tips and restaurant information. The pizza place she recommended is family run and excellent. We ate there 3 times! The location is a stone's throw from the apartment. I can't say enough about the fabulous location of this apartment, it's so close to everything. So, all in all, the apartment is very nice, and as you can see, very, very reasonable in price. Rent this apartment, you won't be sorry, plus then you get a chance to meet Barbara! Ciao... Lori

As advertised and more

Kudos to Sylvia for providing a home away from home. Perfect location for enjoying Florence (20 minute ride by bike to center of time, or 10 minute subway to train station), and yet able to get away from crowds. Apartment as advertised, Sylvia always available for advice and help if needed. Being picked up at train station and being provided with basics for first day (pasta, sauce, wine, fruits etc) was greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend this property.

Wish I could give 10 stars!

Staying at this beautiful apartment was definitely a highlight of our trip. It was amazing! Jack and Leonardo were extremely helpful from first inquiry contact through checkout. They could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. It was a pleasure to meet Leonardo in person upon arrival after having emailed questions and plans. He was very friendly, spoke perfect English, and provided all of the necessary information we needed for a very pleasant stay. He also arranged for a taxi to take us to the train when we were leaving. (Be sure to check out the coffee table book that shows Leonardo's master woodworking skills.) We were especially grateful that we were allowed to have a late checkout (at no extra charge) because no one was arriving the day we were leaving. This enabled us to pack more activities into our time and not worry about where to store luggage. We thought that was most gracious of Jack and Leonardo. The apartment is exactly as described and shown in the photos. It is absolutely beautiful, immaculate, and well-equipped. And HUGE! There is a long (90 foot) hall, off of which are all the rooms - living room, dining room and study on one side; kitchen, bedroom/bath, bedroom/sitting room/bath (suite) on the other side; master bedroom/bath at the end. When we arrived, my husband asked which door was ours, not realizing ALL of the rooms made up the apartment! It is gorgeous, as you can see from the photos. We loved hanging out in the big living room. The kitchen was fantastic. Very nice to have a clothes dryer. All top-end appliances. The bathrooms were great. My daughter enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. Lots of storage and hangers provided. No problem of any kind whatsoever. It was amazing to stay here - we felt like royalty! The location is nice. It's about a 15 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio or the Duomo. It was nice to get away from the crowds and have a quiet place for the evening. There is an excellent supermarket - Esselunca - about 1/2 mile down Via Pisano (away from town) - easy walk - just stay on same side of street as the apartment to make it easier to cross at the traffic circle by the market. Do NOT go to Trattoria Sabatino - we tried it because it was the closest - just through the gate - but it was awful food and service. Should have gone to the couple of places that were indicated as favorites on the sheet in the helpful info binder. Completely recommend this apartment with absolutely no reservation whatsoever!
