WE WERE MOST PLEASED WITH LA QERCIA

5 of 5
(Replacement review as I made an error in the first one.) For our 40th wedding anniversary our entire family, 10 of us...six adults and grandchildren that ranged from 3 months to 12 years, flew to Rome rented two cars and drove to La Quercia! Away from all traffic, but close enough to get to the Coop in Impruneta, (amazing small grocery with everything fresh that you need and great meat) our family could not have been more pleased with our week at La Quercia. We took day trips to Siena and San Gimignano, Pisa and Luca; ranged through Chianti looking for that special wine and evening meals and drinks on the loggia with our finds from the day. The Villa was so comfortable and the setting could not have been more beautiful. The family did everything they could to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. We loved the butler-served dinner put together by Veronica. It was one of the best meals we’ve had. That meal pointed out our one error; we should have taken cooking classes from Veronica! On the financial side our banker thought we were nuts for wiring money to someone we didn’t know, but ALL of the financial arrangements worked. After our stay we went to Florence for three days and everyone agreed La Quercia was the best. Also we want to give Margareta a shout out for taking care of the children for us twice. You were excellent. We would love to return, The Fulcher Family from Nashville

BREATHTAKING AND MEMORABLE WEEK IN TUSCANY!

5 of 5
Our group of 7 couples (friends from college) recently concluded a magical week's stay at Podere le Rondini. Nicola, Allesandra, Paola, and their family welcomed us with open arms. After a delayed flight and long journey, we enjoyed our first meal and night together on the 2nd floor porch of Paola's residence. She had lovingly prepared a meal of antipasto, pasta"pici", skewers of pork, chicken, and outrageous sausages. All the while, the carafes of wonderful, red wine from their vineyard flowed. The meal was capped with a slice of her homemade cake and a shot of Lemoncello. The accomodations at Podere exceeded our expectations! The Capacie comfortably housed six couples while a seventh stayed in an apartment tucked behind Paola's villa. Lemon and olive trees with views of Montespertoli and beyond were our landscape. Day trips to Siena, Venice, Lucca, Florence, and the lovely hilltop town of Volterra were all reachable from our villa. Although we enjoyed our travels, the underrated, charming town of Montespertoli was a ten minute drive away. Markets, food, shopping, wonderful restaurants, and evening volleyball games were all available in this modest town. When we come again, we will likely choose to spend more time reading by the lovely (and large) pool and simply taking in our surroundings. To Nicola and Paola...how can we thank you enough for your constant patience and guidance and ALWAYS with a smile! Paola, we will never forget how you prepared a Sparkler cake for us on the 4th of July and how you danced with us to Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons!! You have not only been perfect hosts, but also, role models for how one should live life. We will never forget you and our time at your welcoming villa. We truly hope to return one day soon!!

THE BEST EASTER HOLIDAY EVER!

5 of 5
I was at Villa Casa di Monte on March 2013, and I have to say that every year , on Easter, I go to Italy, spending some days in different area. Well, in 10 years, I have never found such a pleasant place ! The Villa is A LOT - REALLY A LOT - more beautiful than the photos that are on the Villa's website , I said this to the owners too, especially to Jessica that is the young lady (wife of owner) welcoming guests and remaining at disposal for any needs. Jessica and her family are really great to guests! They assured us full privacy but at the same time they are running in a minute if you need help. They live in the large farm placed about 200 metres far from the Villa , where they have no animals since they only produces wines and olive-oil: both GREAT products! They have a large selection of wines that they export worldwide, I have never tasted such a good red as their "Riserva" wine! Just delicious! Marco, Jessica's father-in-law, welcomed us by showing us the farm and he took a lot of time explaining how they produce wines, showing us all the different process and machineries they have: a real experience of Tuscany!!! Unfortunately I could not enjoy the swimming-pool since it was March and temperature was around 15 Celsius/59 Fahrenheit on the warmest days, but there were the sun-beds at the pool where we have enjoyed a lot to relax as well. What else to say? YES, THE FOOD!!! The delicious, VERY RICH meals that Antonella (Marco's wife) prepared us ! She is a funny woman, ad we really enjoyed her company too! I highly recommend this Villa for a family holiday, no doubt!
