Awesome week in Umbria!!!

WOW! This villa is stunning, the location is perfect and Jacopo was absolutely the most amazing host. My friends and I were celebrating our birthdays and we could not have asked for a better experience. A few days we stuck around the villa and walked into Citta della Pieve -- what a quaint village! Jacopo set-up massages for us at the villa one day, and then another day he cooked an amazing dinner for us and yet another evening he made reservations for us at Zafferano (good restaurant within walking distance to villa). Then we took a few days and did day trips (all within an hour from the villa) to Siena and Chianti, etc. This place is perfection, stay with Jacopo and you will not be disappointed! Fabulous all around! I can't wait to return.

What an incredible villa! My dream was to rent a villa for 2 weeks with family and friends. The villa was beautiful and perfect for my guests - each floor is it's own apartment so each group had private space while having the flexibility to mingle with others. It's obvious a lot of care and love went into restoring this farm house. It was exactly as described to me. We felt we had everything we needed complete with appliances - microwave, coffee maker, etc. We also scheduled a cooking class and a chef to come in to make dinner 2 nights. The scheduling was seamless for me. The grounds were well kept - and we spent lots of time at the gorgeous pool We found the location to be a perfect blend of being out in the country with relatively close proximity to hilltop towns - most within 1/2 - 1 hour away. We spent lots of time in Citta Della Pieve and visited many others including Orvieta, Chiusi, San Casciano dei Bagni, Fighine, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino and more. And Odilla was very accommodating and friendly. I really couldn't have asked for more - and even better than that, my guests loved the experience! I recommend this to friends and family - and hope I can return one day!

Staying at this Villa for 7 days was the ending of our travels through Europe for the month. What a beautiful and relaxing way to wrap up our holiday. I chose this Villa based on the consistency of the 5 star reviews. I have never seen that level of consistent high ratings before so I was prepared for less than 5 star experience, however, I was so wrong. I was pleasantly surprised to find that all reviews were spot on!! The villa was immaculate upon arrival and exactly as advertised on the website. The property is very pretty and quiet, just as shown in the photos on this site. We took many walks to the small town of Citta della Pieve where we enjoyed friendly warm and welcoming individuals, excellent meals, and of course Gelato. This town is a charming quintessential small Italian town. In the evenings it comes alive with people who obviously know each other and fill the streets with laughter. You are enveloped in the feeling of a small art community with deep roots and historic tales to tell. Jacopo has his own line of wine and olive oil from his property which we imbibed and enjoyed nightly…. He leaves wine and olive oil in the Villa and operates on the "honor system". We commented nightly how amazed we were comparing his 8 Euro bottle of wine to our $30 wine bottle purchases in the states. Such a treat! Another review commented on lack of music options and I second that comment. Maybe Jacopo would consider adding a music option to the Villa. There is a lovely simplicity to the grounds. Every morning the pool and grounds are cleaned so you arise to a fresh sparkling environment each day. And while Jacopo is on site every day to attend to these enhancements, he is ultra-respectful of your privacy - most of the time he comes and goes without you being aware of his presence. The Villa is tranquil and quiet at night and in the early morning. We slept with windows open every night and rested to the subtle sounds of crickets and light breezes through the valley. The main views from the house offer only olive groves and Umbrian hillsides. There is a resident fox who visited us each evening as we enjoyed the outside dining area. We were shocked at the fox’s comfort in our company. Spending a week in an Italian Villa has been on my bucket list for years. This Villa met every detail of my imagined experience when I created my bucket list.
