      Vacation of a lifetime!!!!

      5 of 5
There were 12 in our group and the week was wonderful!!! Jacopo and his team did everything to make our stay comfortable and memorable! The Villa is beautiful and the views are magnificent! Jacopo, Fabio and Patricia cooked our first and last night dinners - the meals were delicious and the wine was plentiful! The Villa is a perfect location for day trips and Citta della Pieve is charming! Thank you for so many wonderful memories!

Beautiful rustic haven in the Italian countryside.

Oh what a wonderful feeling to be in the middle of Umbria staying at a unique Italian farmhouse.... Podere Baiocco. Our family was met by Jacopo and Angela with the familiar Italian welcome. The views in all directions were spectacular. We had the welcome dinner prepared by Fabio and it was delicious. Jacopo was a welcome sight with his cheery Italian Buon Giorno, when he had breakfast ready for us daily. We had the cooking class done by Enis with the help of Angela and it couldn't have been more pleasant, followed by the pasta dinner that we had made and when we thought we were done Fabio brings out chicken and potatoes and then more......OH SO GOOD! We were in walking distance to Citta della Pieve , a quaint little town with many things to see and some really good restaurants....we went to Montalcino (wine tour), Siena, Pienza, Florence and then to Rome. Everything either a relatively short car ride or we used the train. The villa had a rustic flair and met all our needs. The humidity was high and without A/C the big screened windows were a lifesaver with the breeze flowing through. The gardens and pool were immaculate....nice to just sit, relax and read or just enjoy the view. Jacoopo couldn't have been more friendly and helpful with any of our needs or questions. He was readily available and diligent in keeping the property perfect. If we get to make a return trip to Italy we hope it will bring us back to Podere Baiocco.
