(Replacement review as I made an error in the first one.)
For our 40th wedding anniversary our entire family, 10 of us...six adults and grandchildren that ranged from 3 months to 12 years, flew to Rome rented two cars and drove to La Quercia! Away from all traffic, but close enough to get to the Coop in Impruneta, (amazing small grocery with everything fresh that you need and great meat) our family could not have been more pleased with our week at La Quercia. We took day trips to Siena and San Gimignano, Pisa and Luca; ranged through Chianti looking for that special wine and evening meals and drinks on the loggia with our finds from the day.
The Villa was so comfortable and the setting could not have been more beautiful. The family did everything they could to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. We loved the butler-served dinner put together by Veronica. It was one of the best meals we’ve had. That meal pointed out our one error; we should have taken cooking classes from Veronica!
On the financial side our banker thought we were nuts for wiring money to someone we didn’t know, but ALL of the financial arrangements worked. After our stay we went to Florence for three days and everyone agreed La Quercia was the best.
Also we want to give Margareta a shout out for taking care of the children for us twice. You were excellent.
We would love to return,
The Fulcher Family from Nashville
