Excellent option in Trastevere

5 of 5
Great location to experience the roman Trastevere neighborhood and lifestyle. Safe, modern and clean apartment layout . Rosaria the owner has been very helpful. Wifi worked pretty well. Good for couples, friends and solo trips.

Astounding location. Perfect family apartment.

5 of 5
This place is just remarkable. Spotlessly clean, and you could have a magical visit and never get in a vehicle of any kind. We are a family of 4. The children are 15 and 13 - boy and girl. They each got their own bedroom - that alone would make it worth it. It's more than spacious enough and the furnishings are of very high quality. My son has recently had knee surgery so the lift was a big help. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of natural light. All the bedrooms are big with lots of storage. It was easy to keep it uncluttered. The bathroom is surprisingly big and hot water was never ending. But as terrific as the apartment is, the location is the key attraction. Every morning we'd walk directly across the street for a cappuccino and cornetto. Then there isn't a single important part of Rome you can't walk to. We even walked back from a magical bike ride on Via Appia Antica to the apartment by way of the Colosseum. It was not a long walk. Maybe 45 minutes? And there is a wine store/bar that is again, 20 meters from the front door. Actually, you have to have a glass of wine, stand on the steps of the store and enjoy a Roman night with the locals at least one night. There is nothing, nothing that you can't find within 200 meters. Pharmacy, cleaners, food shops, incredible restaurants, a fun bar (Captain Cosmo), jewelry maker, art galleries (many), Segway rental, scooter rental, and a farmer's market outside your door on Sundays. We spent six nights. I don't like to go anywhere twice but we'll be back to Rome. And there is absolutely no reason to stay anywhere else. Luigi was great, always available and he's found a great limo service from the airport. Mr Luis and company are pro's. You are a 10 minute walk from: piazza's Navonne, St Peters, the Pantheon, St. Eustache (oh God, the coffee...), Campo de Fiori, the Tiber, Castle St Angelo, many dozens of restaurants, many dozens of galleries, museums (we saw a wonderful Escher exhibit). Whatever you do, get lost. Just wander and enjoy and be grateful you aren't going back to a hotel.

Great start of our 25th Anniversary Celebration

4 of 5
We stayed 9 nights in this wonderfully located apartment in the Domus area of Rome. Easy access to Metro and walkable Rome sites. Used this location as a central hub to travel to Florence, Venice, Naples, Amalfi Coast and Capri - finishing up with three days to tour Rome. Being a frequent traveler - had already packed laundry soap, hand soap and other must haves. Yes, there were no paper towels, salt & pepper, small fridge and only one roll of toilet paper for two bathrooms - but the store was close where we purchased what was needed for our stay that supplied us with garbage bags as well. The washing machine did not have an incorporated dryer which is available in some euro models - there is a clothes rack to hang clothes on to dry which worked very well. We also travel with clothespins which comes in handy to hang items. Luigi was a timely, gracious and welcoming host after our long travels and provided us with all the information needed for a comfortable stay to include maps, restaurant locations and a pre programmed phone to reach him if need be. We went thru the week without instance and called Luigi only at the time of check out to state how happy we were and what the check out process was. The apartment is in an old beautiful building which shares a courtyard and two elevators. This apartment has two floors. Our mother was to be on this trip as well but had to cancel due to medical reasons which in a way was good as no-one would have had a restful nights sleep in the downstairs bedroom since its headboard is on the entry hall wall with an iron gate on the other side that is not shut so quietly by other guests of the building. With that said, we slept upstairs. We also had an issue with an upstairs guest that found it necessary to drag chairs on the tile floor which could be heard all over the place at all hours which is a bit challenging when you are getting up at 0500 for a train to Florence and Venice. We rate Luigi and his brothers service at a 5 with no hesitation to use one of their other properties in the future! You can't pick your neighbors when traveling - so keep that in mind as these accommodations were perfect for us. We give the apartment a 3 and service a 5. Thank you Luigi and your brother who did not hesitate to call me at 2100 one night for a question I had prior to our trip to Rome, and making the start of our 25th anniversary memorable.
