BEST LOCATION!!!

5 of 5
Sorry it's taken me a few weeks to write this review but we arrive from Europe on July 14th and were quite busy getting our lives back in order. We arrived at Fabrizio's flat in Campo de Fiori on June 26th for 4 days. We were not expecting the location to be so convenient. Fabrizio and Rosella were great from the beginning of the booking to our arrival. We enjoyed our days walking everywhere and sometimes returning to the flat to take a break, before continuing with our sightseeing. My son is a Celiac and we were able to find a great pizza place around the corner from the flat by the name of Voglia di Pizza that offered an extensive gluten free menu . We hope to return to Rome once again and would definitely stay at this flat. Fabrizio thank you once again.

CHARMING APARTMENT IN THE HEART OF ROME

4 of 5
We loved our stay in this historic third floor apartment! My husband, our eighteen yr. old granddaughter and I arrived in Rome, ready for some serious sightseeing. The location was perfect for easy access to the Pantheon, the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the Jewish Quarter, the Spanish Steps, and many other areas to explore. We walked everywhere! The two bedrooms had windows overlooking the narrow cobblestone streets and we found ourselves in the middle of the hustle and bustle of daily Roman life. However when we opened the door and entered from the street into the courtyard, we were in a quiet peaceful setting. The ambiance of the courtyard and the surrounding apartments made us feel like locals instead of visitors. The ground level of our apartment building was home to a gelateria, the bakery was only two doors away, and two wonderful cafes & bars were across the narrow street from us. This vibrant city kept us busy all day, yet at night we slept peacefully in our quiet apartment. Upon our arrival, Francesca welcomed us with a bottle of wine and lots of helpful information. She had arranged round-trip transportation from the airport to our apartment and this was greatly appreciated. My husband did not want to rent a car and drive in Rome and our super location with nearby bus transportation available was perfect. The three of us spent time at nearby Piazza Navona (one of the most beautiful in Rome) every day, relaxing at some of the sidewalk cafes, just soaking in the ambiance and listening to music. The fact that the World's Cup for soccer was going on during our visit was exciting and it was fun to watch the Italian fans. The apartment was clean and the sleeping accommodation along with two bathrooms and kitchen filled all our needs. During our four-night stay here, breakfast at the bakery next door became a daily habit. Francesca called it the best bakery in Rome and we agree. Thanks for all your help Francesca! We would recommend this apartment for anyone wanting a unique Roman experience right in the middle of everything.

LOCATION CAN'T BE BEAT; OWNER HAS TOO MANY PROPERTIES AND IS TOO BUSY....

4 of 5
This is a relatively nice apartment in a fantastic location. It is near wonderful plazas with great restaurants where you get to hang out, and eat, like locals. Living in this neighborhood for a week is getting to experience life in Rome in a way you don't with a big hotel. It is also well situated to to tourist attractions. I give this the highest ratings on location. The apartment itself is good, but not great. I don't think it was "fabulous" as some of these reviews suggest. The owner and staff are very nice people who work hard. But renters should know that even though they work hard, they seem to have too many properties to provide the highest level of service. Many things didn't work when we arrived. The washing machine didn't work, the electricity kept going out when we used the air conditioning with other appliances (and you have to find and flip the switch in the dark), and the shower drain was clogged up and didn't drain. Also, the shower head was clogged so water came out in a trickle. The owner DID make efforts to fix things when we complained. The washing machine (which we had counted on to wash clothes when we arrived) was fixed by the 3rd day, and on the 3rd day he also paid for some of our clothes to be cleaned because I kept complaining that we had arrived in Rome with all dirty clothes and had been counting on using the washing machine to wash all our clothes. It was not pleasant to wear dirty clothes for 3 days. He also had the shower drain cleaned on the 3rd day. The shower head was never fixed. I had asked him about parking before arriving, and he said there was none. So I arranged and paid for a private garage nearby to keep our car. But when we arrived he said there was free parking in the nearby plaza by the french embassy. Why didn't he tell me this before we arrived and I went through all the trouble to find a parking garage, reserve a spot and pay in advance? When we left, we accidentally left a blanket in the apartment....it was an important blanket that we got for our wedding that had been with us all around the world on every trip we have taken together. We could not get them to send it to us, even though we offered to pay them for shipping, etc. I realize they are not required to do this. It was our fault for leaving the blanket. I just give this as an example that they are very busy and don't provide the greatest level of service if a problem arises.
