Wonderful

5 of 5
The villa is beautiful beyond words. The pictures do not do it justice. Perfect location in Ravello. Great views, lovely grounds. The manager, Tano, was so helpful. He helped us with everything from boat rentals to restaurant suggestions. We cannot wait to go back!

Glorious Amalfi

5 of 5
At the risk of repeating all the wonderful things that have been written about Oliver and Lella I feel compelled to do so. They are truly wonderful hosts and Oliver will go out of his way to insure that the time spent at his well tended villa is perfect in every sense. A spring holiday for three of us was one we will never forget not only for the beautiful landscape of the Amalfi coast, the wonderful food and wine and the lemons, my god, the lemons! The house is very thoughtfully organized to make it user friendly and with every convenience one would want. Being early in the season we were not able to partake of the garden they were planting for their guests and Oliver's boat was not yet ready but we enjoyed the lemons and Oliver arranged another boat for us and spent the day with us providing his inimitable take on the coast he loves so much. The boat trip is, as others have said, is worth every penny. We cannot recommend House Oliver more highly. A few tips for those lucky enough to stay here. Oliver's restaurant recommendations are excellent of course but be sure to try Lido Azzuro at lunch time in Amalfi. Also a warning; do not buy wine from D'Vino in Ravello aka Wine Amalfi Coast or Antonio Mansi. He is a thief and a liar. We are currently battling over Euro 1000 worth of wine that he has failed to deliver. There are other warnings on Trip Advisor about this crook (which I wish we had read before we fell into his hands) but the more the better. Apart from that enjoy your stay at House Oliver!

Amazing Villa, Amazing town, Amazing visit!!

5 of 5
Vito and family are simply wonderful hosts. Upon our arrival, we were invited to partake in Vito's birthday party, with his family and friends, and enjoy Vito's home made pizzas! Just one more example of the warmth of Italy and its people that we experienced many times on our once in a lifetime journey! This villa is AMAZING!! Located just outside the edge of town, high upon the cliffs, the views are to die for. The property itself is beautiful, as mama and auntie spend time everyday tending the many plants and flowers! The pool is clean and well appreciated on warm days. We were a party of ten; two couples with three children each, ranging in age from 15 to 22. Vito and his mom made sure the rooms were set up so that we were all comfortable. The villa was clean and comfortable with everything we needed! I personally loved walking into town each day, taking the many steps and narrow, curving, interesting pathways that always led to a beautiful sight. My legs never looked better, which was good when we hit the beach in our suits! (I highly recommend the smaller beach and its restaurant) There are plenty of parking garages and cabs, if you prefer not to walk. Our kids wanted to see Pompeii, which was an easy car ride from the Villa with our GPS. Our entire group went to Capri via private boat from Positano, which was fabulous. Vito has all kinds of "insider" information, which only those who live in Positano can advise and he was happy to do so. We drove our rented vans to the villa with no safety issues. The kids did have trouble getting WI-FI, but I was happy for it, as they spent more time talking to each other and to be honest, we were on the go most of the time anyway. My only complaint is that we didn't get to spend more time here. Positano is positively breathtaking and Villa Punto Del Sole Positano was a wonderful "home" in which to enjoy it! I hope to return, someday. Thank you, Vito!! (sorry for the delay in my review!)
