Your Oasis in the Heart Of Tel Aviv

5 of 5
First it starts with your host. Dan could not be more accomodating. From greeting us upon arrival to arranging taxi rides to the airport and more, and everything in between, we felt as if this was our home in Tel Aviv. The apartment is perfect for a couple. The loft is a perfect way to separate the sleeping quarters from the kitchen, dining area and living room. This apartment is in the middle of everything. 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach, to HaCarmel Siuk, Habima theater (we saw a great London Touring Company of Cats), Rabin Square, World Class Art museums like the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, great smaller ones like Beit Ruben (artist's Reuven Ruben's studio and selected art). Lots of terrific restaurants on Bograshav and short walks to others on Dizzengoff, Hayarkon, and Ben Yehuda. If you count yourself among Conservative Jews, there is a warm and welcoming Kehilla right next door. What can one say? This is just a fantastic location. If you are using a car there is reasonable parking across the street at the Dizzengoff Center. All in all, a perfect spot from which to explore Tel Aviv and more!

Good value; nice hosts; great neighborhood

5 of 5
The best things about this apartment are (a) The owners; (b) The location; and (c) The Nespresso machine. The owners: Ariel was very responsive and attentive without being interfering. He contacted us in advance to point out that since we were arriving on Shabbat there would be no stores open, and to offer to pick up any supplies that we needed for our first night there. He also left a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge, which was very sweet. When we left he seemed truly interested in our feedback on any improvements we could suggest. The location: Smack in the middle of the White City, a couple of blocks from the lovely Sderot Rothschild, the hip Shenkin Street area, and the more down-to-earth Allenby St. We loved walking up to the coffee bar on Sderot Rothschild every morning, and having mint-lemon ice at the ice cream place on Shenkin St. at night. It's also an easy walk to the Carmel Market, as well as to the beach. As I had not been to Tel Aviv before, I was initially shocked to see that the neighborhood included crumbling buildings and a lot of graffiti. As we walked around we came to realize that that is the status quo for Tel Aviv and does not signal a bad neighborhood. The Nespresso machine -- what can I say? I'm always happy to see one. The owners left plenty of capsules/pods. The apartment itself is spacious and light-filled, with a combination of Ikea and mid-century furnishings. It could use a bit more in the way of furnishings. There's a sofa and chaise in the living room; it would be nice to have one additional comfortable place to sit there as well. The dining table is made of wood, and I lived in fear that we would leave a mark on it just by having dishes at the table. As we were only the second renters ever, I imagine that Ariel and Anat will soon resolve these concerns for future renters.

10 days in paradise

5 of 5
I came to Tel Aviv with my partner and 2 other couples. It was out first time visiting Israel and were completely blown away. The apartment was walking distance from everywhere we went and we felt safe no matter what time of day or night we went out. The apartment was clean and very spacious for us all. We cooked and ate at home several nights - these we're actually my favourite evenings! I was normally up before the rest of my friends and would start my day with a morning coffee on the terrace - absolute bliss! Having the washing machine availed was a nice bonus - especially as we were staying for 10 days. Loved the colourfulness of the local market. We were blessed with fantastic weather when we were here so spent most days down tat the nearby beach. Although this was our first time in Israel it definitely won't be the last - already looking forward to revisiting and will definitely stay in this apartment again!
