C'EAD MILE FAILTE

5 of 5
My husband and I traveled to Ireland for our 30th anniversary. We were fortunate to find Coolbeg Lodge! Everything about the cottage is exactly as described ~ no surprises. The location on a regional road just outside of Limerick is perfect for day trips to all of the major destinations in the mid and south west of Ireland, i.e. 1-1.5 hrs. The cottage itself is very spacious and clean with instant, unlimited hot water. The beds are very comfortable with heated mattress covers if needed. Pat and Maura were excellent hosts! They greeted us upon arrival and made us comfortable with everything we needed, including directions to the nearest pub, petrol station and grocery store. They were onsite and available if needed, but were very respectful of our privacy. I have already showed this listing to several friends and co-workers should they have the opportunity to travel to Ireland. We reserved the cottage for nine nights and it still wasn't long enough to see and do everything we would have liked. We did get in the "must sees." I must say, it was very nice to wake every morning at our leisure, look out the window and plan our sightseeing based on the weather; unlike on a pre-arranged bus tour. We walked the entire length of the Cliffs of Moher (3 hrs); we enjoyed immensely the entertainment of the Bunratty Castle medival feast; we drove through the Burren on a misty, overcast day; visited the picturesque village of Adare; toured both King John's Castle (Limerick) and kissed the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle (Cork); drove the Ring of Kerry, shopped for crystal in both Kinsale and Dingle; shopped for almost everything else at the Blarney Woolen Mills and ended almost every day with a stop at O'Dea's just outside of Kildimo. Ireland is a most beautiful country, the people are very personable and polite, and I can't wait to return.

VERY COMFORTABLE PLACE TO STAY

5 of 5
We stayed here both at the beginning and end of our holiday. The apartment was modern, bright, spacious and comfortable. We had struggled to find affordable accomodation that would suit a couple with two small children and this place ticked all the boxes for us. We found Marguerite very easy to contact when we had a query and very responsive to any of our requests. When we arrived there were the ingredients for a cooked breakfast in the fridge, which I thought was a lovely extra touch. I would recommend this place to friends or family members if they were visiting Dublin. We were very happy that we made the choice to stay here.

AMAZING VACATION RENTAL OVERLOOKING THE SEA

5 of 5
M family and I stayed in this rental recently for two weeks and were very very happy with our stay. The pictures do not do the place justice. The whole house is absolutely gorgeous. Every room is perfectly decorated. You instantly fall in love with the place and feel at home. The bathrooms are very modern, clean and big. With some very nice touches. Now as for the kitchen. Wow. The pictures only give you a vague idea on how great this kitchen is. First of all it's huge. It has the best of everything, fridge, stove ........ Beautiful cream wood cabinets with a contrasting island. Large French doors open from the kitchen/ dining room to the backyard. Very social space. We could all sit and have breakfast and chat to the cook ( me) in the kitchen. Bedrooms are huge with lots of storage and unbelievably comfortable beds. You really sleep like a log in this place. It's Ireland and this house is just far enough outside the city so that when its dark, it's really dark. Plus it's so quiet you can hear the waves gently hitting the rocks outside the front door. There are breathtaking coastal views from every room of the house. If you are planning on vision Ireland. Stay in this house. You will not regret it
