We five siblings arrived very tired from the long trip and were warmly greeted by Sean and Nora with a cold porter and cake. What a view. We enjoyed the warmth of this wonderful immaculate home, beautiful landscapes and every amenity you could need. It was also a pleasant surprise to have sleeping arrangements that were so accommodating. We would recommend this home to anyone wishing to enjoy the beauty of this most southern tip of Ireland. Our weather was near perfect with magnificant sun and moon rises. We planned this trip to visit our ancestral homeland. We range in age from 78 to 60 and could not have asked for a better home for the week.
One of our favorite outings was to Mizen Head. We all hiked out to the farthest point on a bright sunny day. After much walking, laughter, and many pictures, we went into the restaurant for lunch. We visited Baltimore where we toured the O'Driscoll Castle, signed the Clan Registry and had our picture taken with the Coat of Arms flag. What a memorable moment for all of us. We enjoyed open-air markets, shopping in the various small villages and a great meal in a pub. All-in-all, it was the trip of a lifetime and us siblings will have this special memory forever. Thank you Sean and Nora for helping us creat this memory.
