room with a view

5 of 5
we stayed in the penthouse apartment and really enjoyed the view of Galway Bay from the balcony - it is the one featured on the website. Sean and his son were helpful in every respect. The penthouse is slightly smaller than other apartments but was fine for us three. Kitchen was well equipped ( suggestion for Sean - more plates would be welcome). As reported by other reviewers the property is in a fantastic location - high class deli round the corner and the fantastic O'Conners Pub 5 minute walk away. !5 minute walk into the town of galway itself with all Pubs and Eating places too many to mention. A must see is the TRAD ON THE PROM show in the Galway Bay Hotel, 10 min walk, Top class Riverdance type entertainment. Off Street secure parking is a bonus but the view from these quality apartments really does take the biscuit. Thanks Sean for a great holiday. hope to make it back

Amazing vacation rental overlooking the sea

5 of 5
M family and I stayed in this rental recently for two weeks and were very very happy with our stay. The pictures do not do the place justice. The whole house is absolutely gorgeous. Every room is perfectly decorated. You instantly fall in love with the place and feel at home. The bathrooms are very modern, clean and big. With some very nice touches. Now as for the kitchen. Wow. The pictures only give you a vague idea on how great this kitchen is. First of all it's huge. It has the best of everything, fridge, stove ........ Beautiful cream wood cabinets with a contrasting island. Large French doors open from the kitchen/ dining room to the backyard. Very social space. We could all sit and have breakfast and chat to the cook ( me) in the kitchen. Bedrooms are huge with lots of storage and unbelievably comfortable beds. You really sleep like a log in this place. It's Ireland and this house is just far enough outside the city so that when its dark, it's really dark. Plus it's so quiet you can hear the waves gently hitting the rocks outside the front door. There are breathtaking coastal views from every room of the house. If you are planning on vision Ireland. Stay in this house. You will not regret it

Our Dream Vacation in Ireland

5 of 5
My family and I spent one dreamy week at this castle. We were a group of 8. My husband and I and our 3 children (7, 11, 15), my parents and my best friend. We stayed at the St. George and were blown away by everything. We arrived late but were met with open arms by Elizabeth Marshall (literally) who then offered to open the pool for our children even though it was 10pm. The rooms were lovely with stone castle walls and antique but lovely and comfortable furniture. The grounds were impeccable and my 7 year old loved to feed the coy in the ponds daily with Marshall. The forest trails on the property were breathtaking. Galway and the Renaissance district are only a 10 minute drive and we loved shopping and enjoying local artists there. That's where we discovered the band Keywest ...future U2. And enjoyed amazing baked potato meals at the Coach Potato. We even were invited to a tea party with Marshall and George where we got a tour of the main house...absolutely our best travel experience ever. We travel several times a year and always to different countries. But I can honestly say my family has not stopped talking about our trip to Ireland and we can't wait to go back again. We vacationed there summer of 2011. I am on the VRBO site today looking at this property again because my children keep begging to go back. Thank you Marshall and George!!! We love you both:)
