The communication with the owner (Veronica) was excellent during the booking process even allowing us the flexibility of extending our stay from 7 to 9 days. In advance Veronica provided us with an extensive welcome pack of information giving directions to the property, details on facilities and things to do in the area.
Veronica and her housekeeper Marian greeted us on arrival with a welcome present of fine wine, coffee and home-made chocolate brownies. The house is simply stunning and the online photos cannot do full justice to the property or the views. The property was spotless and the decor, fixture and fittings are first class. It is obvious that Veronica has taken the time to make this more than a holiday home.
As an extended family of ten with ages ranging from 16 to 83 we needed a location that would provide a variety of experiences. An Teach Ban did not let us down. The teenagers and their Nana! were able to surf and body board on the beautiful Inch beach. Surf board hire was only 5 Euros for an hour but there was a relaxed return time so we regularly got extra time. The choice of restaurants and pubs in the Dingle area is fantastic for eating but regularly we were drawn back to the house for a family BBQ so we could enjoy the views. Marian keeps the house well stocked with tourist information leaflets on experiences to have in Dingle and the surrounding area.
During our stay followed many of the recommendations in the welcome pack and were not disappointed. We visited the Blasket Islands, dined in Dingle, ate at Sammy’s on the beach, visited the many beautiful beaches on the peninsula but I think our lasting memories will be the views from the house.
In summary we have no hesitation in recommending this property. To experience the magic of the Dingle Peninsula I doubt there is a better property in which to stay.
