Comfortable in a lovely quiet setting

5 of 5
Six of us enjoyed a relaxed visit to Ballydavid at the end of September. The house was very well equipped and set up so we had room to gather or spread out for a quiet few minutes. We all enjoyed the walks on the cliffs and lovely views as well as the donkey, cows and friendly locals. It is a short drive to Dingle and worth driving around the Penninsula. Try not to arrive at night in the dark! The local pub was great - good food and we watched the exciting hurling final. Thanks to Carol and Jimmy for good advice and a cozy home.

A fine spot

5 of 5
I have stayed at this listing many times - and every time is a joy. The views are the best part - I never tire of watching the Blasket Islands. Scenery is dramatic and lovely. Upkeep is great, and the neighbors are a treasure. The local pub is just a short walk accross a field, where Irish music from local musicians is a regular occurrence. A great launch point for day trips around the pennisula, or into DIngle for shops, pubs and restaurants. We have visited in Decemver, May and June - all good times to go (but you never know what Irish weather will be.) We love the kitchen and the fireplace, as well as the smell of burning peat.
