Beautiful cottage - light, spacious and clean

5 of 5
We stayed in Jimmy and Carol's holiday home for 3 nights. It was a great location, brilliant pubs within a 2 min walk and beach for swimming/rock pool exploring. Lots of beautiful coastal walks accessible directly from the cottage. Cottage was really spacious, nice decor and very clean. The conservatory and outside seating area were a big bonus - we were lucky enough to have a few sunny afternoons. Carol and Jimmy were really helpful and gave lots of advice for activities in the local area. It's a 15 min drive into Dingle, so v.close. Would definitely recommend to friends and hope to be back. One word of advice: sat nav doesn't take you to the right place. Follow signs to Ballydavid's official name: Baile na ngall

A fine spot

5 of 5
I have stayed at this listing many times - and every time is a joy. The views are the best part - I never tire of watching the Blasket Islands. Scenery is dramatic and lovely. Upkeep is great, and the neighbors are a treasure. The local pub is just a short walk accross a field, where Irish music from local musicians is a regular occurrence. A great launch point for day trips around the pennisula, or into DIngle for shops, pubs and restaurants. We have visited in Decemver, May and June - all good times to go (but you never know what Irish weather will be.) We love the kitchen and the fireplace, as well as the smell of burning peat.
