The property and cottage are lovely and very well kept. They put a lot of effort into the gardens and it shows. After coming from Dublin, and looking for a more rural experience, it was lovely to look out the window and see the neighbour's cows grazing out the windows, on the other side of the stone fence. It was a great location for seeing SW Ireland. The cottage was very spacious and the rooms were large.
Patrick went over and above to make our stay comfortable and he is more than hospitable. He was helpful when I was feeling under the weather and also invited me to come to the house when I encountered a problem with the WiFi in the cottage.
I would have preferred one fixed rate however. Having to pay for power according to the meter is a bit of a gamble, especially when you are from N. America and are not used to what electricity costs in Ireland. One other issue is that the listing says there is a clothes dryer. I expected a machine and not a clothesline and clothes pins.
