Arus Gratten was terrific! We were greeted by Sean, the owner, who is full of Irish charm as well as information about the area. There's an elevator to the apartments which have all the necessary creature comforts. There are small heaters in the living room that look like little fireplaces and are just enough to take the chill off. The kitchens are well equipped including a dishwasher, electric kettle, electric coffee pot, microwave, and combo washer/dryer. There are adequate dishes, wine glasses, pots and pans. Each balcony has a small table and chairs so you can sit outside and watch the sea and sunset. The drapes and furniture are attractive and look quite new. Everything is comfortable and feels "homey." There's indoor or outdoor parking for the car that we never took out of the garage because you can walk everywhere, to Pubs, restaurants, a good wine shop, a cheese shop, a couple food markets, as well as into downtown Galway and along the waterfront. We loved the whole experience: the apartment, Galway and Ireland. In fact, we plan to return, next time renting more apartments and bringing our adult children.
