A Great House in Connemara!

5 of 5
My wife and I rented the beautiful new house in Ross Moyard owned by Jarlath and Loretta Cooke. Loretta met us in Cleggan and led us to the house where she showed us all its features and answered our questions. The house was situated on a very quiet dead end street that lead to a beautiful stone beach with fantastic views. The photos in the listing did not do the house justice. First of all, the house was very clean. The kitchen had all the appliances and tools that one would need and the refrigerator is quite large. The floors are beautifully done both in tile and wood. The living room seating arrangement was very comfortable and the paintings in the house were painted by Loretta. All the bathrooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The house was even equipped with a solar heated hot water system. It is well located for day trips to Kylmore, Clifden, Cong, Ashford Castle and Roundstone.

An Irish Dream Come True

5 of 5
My family and I searched for weeks to find a cottage in Ireland for our 2 week vacation. We wanted a central location for our day trips around the country. When my mom found Lough Cutra, we all thought that it was too good to be true! It is even more unbelievable in person. Not only is the location beyond beautiful with the castle nearby, lake and fields to stroll past, but our hosts were incredibly gracious. They directed us to the best local haunts, shared produce from their garden and even let us rename their peacock, Kevin, whom we caught stealing strawberries. It was a dream vacation and we owe so much to our hosts at Lough Cutra. Thank you!!

Beautiful home with awesome views

5 of 5
My family of six (85 year old mother-in-law, 3 teenagers, my husband and myself) stayed here for 3 nights in August, 2014. The cottage was perfect having both bedrooms and baths on both floors. We visited the Cliffs of Moher on our way to the cottage from the airport. It's a quick drive to the ferry to the Aran Islands. Also visited Galway City. If we stayed one more night Eamonn had given us the name of someone to take us out on kayaks. Eamonn was available to answer any of my questions when planning our trip. The 2 gems of the cottage were Mary, Eamonn's mother who lives nearby and is available to answer any questions. She is so welcoming and bakes an awesome scone. The other gem is the view from the cottage - it's beautiful. I now have my picture of my kids for my Christmas card. Thanks Eamonn and Mary for making our stay so enjoyable.
