Castlepark Kinsale perfect for 8 women friends

5 of 5
* ladies , all 60 + stayed at Castlepark for a week and highly recommend it. Declan was very helpful helping us plan out trip long distance for months before we left. Castle park is clean and safe and wonderfully quiet and beaitiful. The house was spacious enough for all 8 of us to feel comfortable. Everyting you need is there. We went to Kinsale almost daily. Most of us enjoyed the walk to and from town. Some of us took a cab one or both ways but if you are in good health the walk is perfect. There is plenty to do in town and it was easy to get to Old Head Golf Course, Blarney, Cobh and other lovley places around the coast.

Warm inviting atmosphere and magnificant views

5 of 5
We five siblings arrived very tired from the long trip and were warmly greeted by Sean and Nora with a cold porter and cake. What a view. We enjoyed the warmth of this wonderful immaculate home, beautiful landscapes and every amenity you could need. It was also a pleasant surprise to have sleeping arrangements that were so accommodating. We would recommend this home to anyone wishing to enjoy the beauty of this most southern tip of Ireland. Our weather was near perfect with magnificant sun and moon rises. We planned this trip to visit our ancestral homeland. We range in age from 78 to 60 and could not have asked for a better home for the week. One of our favorite outings was to Mizen Head. We all hiked out to the farthest point on a bright sunny day. After much walking, laughter, and many pictures, we went into the restaurant for lunch. We visited Baltimore where we toured the O'Driscoll Castle, signed the Clan Registry and had our picture taken with the Coat of Arms flag. What a memorable moment for all of us. We enjoyed open-air markets, shopping in the various small villages and a great meal in a pub. All-in-all, it was the trip of a lifetime and us siblings will have this special memory forever. Thank you Sean and Nora for helping us creat this memory.

Relaxing Retreat on Beautiful Sheep's Head Peninsula

5 of 5
We intended to stay just a night or two but ended up staying four at this lovely cottage, on gorgeous Sheep's Head Peninsula. The owners were charming and friendly but equally respectful of our privacy. We were welcomed by the sight of the Canadian flag flying high to show us the way to the cottage - a wonderfully eccentric habit of the owner to welcome guests of many nationalities. The cottage is exceedingly well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and hospitality included access to a wonderful culinary herb garden. The master suite with its skylights to view the night stars was wonderful. The area is lovely with many signed walking trails. One of our most memorable stays in our entire month in Ireland. Thanks so much!
