The apartment is a short walk from the centre of Cobh. There is off street car parking. We had no problems finding spaces for two cars throughout our stay. Access is via lift (elevator) or stairs from either the car park or street level - there is one final short flight of stairs from the lift. The overall standard of the accommodation is high but the most outstanding features is the view of Cork harbour from the open plan kitchen/lounge/diner and from each bedroom. There was always something to look at from the apartment or terrace (we had good weather and enjoyed many hours on the terrace), including of course the varied activities of a working harbour. We found the changing light and colour particularly vivid at sunrise.
The kitchen was well equipped for a holiday stay. Standards of maintenance and cleanliness were high and the apartment comfortably met the needs of four adults over an eleven day stay. We particularly appreciated the excellent communications with the owners prior to our stay They were always responsive and informative. WiFi links were excellent. We can unreservedly endorse the positive comments of other guests.
We found Cobh to be a very good base for our break in this part of Ireland. The town has many attractions and amenities for visitors. Cork is a short drive or train ride away. There are some lovely spots - notably Ardmore and Ballycotton in our experience - along the coast towards Waterford and we encountered no problems in finding interesting places to visit, decent pubs and reasonably good restaurants. Highly recommended.
