Bucolic, friendly refuge

5 of 5
I echo the positive reviews here. Kevin and Carole are wonderful, engaging hosts who make you feel part of the area and introduce you to its local rhythms and customs as an old friend might do. The cottage lives up to those over-used words "charming" and "cozy." Chickens, a little kitten, and two pugnacious terriers became fast friends with our two young children, who loved it here every bit as much as we did. Walking, fishing, hanging out at the local (and even some shooting) made for unforgettable memories. Kevin had had a rich and eventful life and chatting with him in the courtyard was always a pleasure. We all missed the Williamstadt House as soon as we left it, and if ever we return to Ireland again, as I hope we do, we will definitely make a point of coming here again.

A delightful get-away!

5 of 5
We had a fabulous stay at this lovely, spacious manor home! Carole gave us a thorough list of local activities, so we were able to see pony races, work at an old blacksmiths, stack peat at a pub contest, and shop at the farmers market. This part of Ireland is beautiful for walks, drives, and sits. We enjoyed the Brian Boru sites. The house was comfortable, snug, and had a working kitchen. The grounds were nice for the kids to play and for strolling. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a refreshing, relaxing, beautiful place to spend a few days. Carole will help customize your stay to suit your needs. I hope we make it back!

Kim & Steve's Ireland Adventure

5 of 5
Mary's home is simply lovely. The pictures are exactly as the home looks. Very neat clean and spacious. Super location to experience the Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head, The Burren, Aran Islands and Galway. Mary's home felt like our home. Rural setting with modern conveniences. Close to shopping, good restaurants & entertainment. Quiet. Mary met us at her home.....so sweet....she supplied us with milk, butter and bread which was most welcome. Fresh flowers were placed in the home. We had the vacation of a lifetime and would stay at Mary's again. We made fires every night during our stay. Cozy, cozy, cozy. You will not go wrong if you book Mary's home. Kim & Steve
