Welcome to Paradise

5 of 5
I don't rememb how I found this place in Internet, but it made 8 people super happy. We had a wonderful time in this villa and enjoyed every minute of it. 4 couples in 4 bedrooms was the maximum capacity offered and there was still ample space to enjoy some privacy. The trip from the airport is a challenge. I don't know where all the money goes the government earns from tourism, but the road is as dangerous as it was 30 years ago when I first came to Bali. Do not drive yourself! The host organized pickup for all of us. Challenges like delayed flight, lost luggage etc had no chance to spoil a positive experience for our week at this villa. We felt at any minute in good hands. This is a high value to enjoy in such a remote place. The villa is even nicer than you can imagine from the extensive description. The staff is lovely and very skilled. They did everything for us. We were a really diverse group of people. The service appears to follow well defined principles, which was really unexpected. They prepared very nice meals for us and accommodated our special wishes with ease. The architecture, layout, decoration, facilities are all wonderful. But don't expect a night club or shopping opportunities. Nature, total relax, and full concentration on friends and family you bring along. That's it. The bad thing is - the last day you have to leave.

Villa Semadhi: paradise found!

5 of 5
We stayed for two weeks in Villa Semadhi and we enjoyed every single moment: the house is beautifully designed and furnished with a great eye and sense for detail. Beside that, it's very comfortable with its large rooms and bathrooms. For example: we enjoyed very much our comfortable outdoor, walled bathroom with an amazing tree and beautiful big plants. During day- and evening time the garden is the place to be: for every moment of the day you can find several comfortable places to read, meditate or just relax in the shadow of flowering trees, such as the amazing 'frangipani' (Plumeria). Furthermore there's a lovely breakfast/lunch/dinner pavilion in the garden, surrounded by a pond full of fairy tale waterlilies and fishes. We just sat down, had a nice Balinese Bintang beer and waited for the wonderful Balinese 'cuisine' to surprise us! We were absolutely spoiled by the very friendly staff, not only with delicious meals, but also with a bicycle whenever desired and other small attentions. I should not forget to mention the infinity pool, which is very well placed within this tropical paradise garden: we swam with a lovely view on the ocean at one side and the beautiful house on the other! As for the surroundings of the villa, they are also worth a close look: we found some interesting temples and even attended a service in one of them. Furthermore there are several beautiful resorts at about 10 min. cycling. We were very welcome to walk around and take a look and pictures and to have a nice lunch or dinner at the beach. Every resort has its own character, so we visited them all! We also found some nice little giftshops and small 'warungs' (little restaurants). At last we made a very special trip to Menjangan Island by boat, where we went snorkling and saw the most amazing fishes and other creatures. Last but not least we were truly touched by the unbelievable friendliness of the Balinese people: everybody smiles, says 'hello' or even asks where you're from and if you like Bali. Never before we met such friendly and open people! No surprise: we truly and very enthusiastically recommend this villa and give it five stars!

Traumhaft schöne Villa

5 of 5
