Can it get better? Hard to believe!!

5 of 5
At arrival we were picked up by our extremely friendly and pleasant balinese driver in a brandnew luxury van, who both would accompany and drive us safely for the next 2 weeks. After a approx. 3h picturesque drive through the wonderful balinese countryside, through rice-fields, mountains and old volcanos, stopping whenever you wished to take a photo or a rest at a restaurant, we arrived at the villa, indeed not exaggerating, deserving the description of a tastefully furnished luxury villa, followed by a hearty welcome of all the staff, who would accompany us over the next 2 weeks. There was no wish the staff would not try to fulfill. The cuisine was superb, the house always kept very tidy and protected by a security guard over night. Have we already mentioned the location and view of the house? It is fantastic! Located on a hill, having a 180 degrees panoramic view of the ocean and surrounding fields. In the morning and evenings you can hear the hindu prayers and the muezzin from the nearby villages - this in combination with the beautiful, for a north european, very exotic countryside, makes this experience surrealistic. We enjoyed it every morning and evening and felt like in another world. The location of the house in Serririt is perfect to get away from the masses of tourists in the south, which we fortunately only encountered on arrival and departure. It is a perfect starting point to discover real Bali, whether you travel to nearby Serririt, Lovina or Singaraja, along the north coast or drive up to the extinct volcano mountains. A must to do are a snorkeling tour to nearby menjangan island (1hr drive) and a guided excursion through nearby jungle and rice fields (3 hr walk including lunch). Information for these tours are provided in the house or by the manager. Unforgettable for us will be a balinese dance and music show (gamelan) at the house (can be organized by the staff at your discretion). The question is not whether you should go to this property - but when!

Absolutely the highlight of our trip

5 of 5
We cannot speak highly enough of your Villa, staff and Ketut. We stayed at a total of 3 villas whilst holidaying in Bali for over 14 days. Villa Naora was absolutely the highlight of our trip, even our 4 children can't wait to go back. On our flight home we all listed our top 5 highlights of our trip, all 4 Children had Villa Naora in their list, along with Swimming with Dolphins, water parks, playing with tigers and Monkey's at the Zoo. My husband, mother and I all had it at No. 1. Everything has been so thought out for an enjoyable family stay. The gardens are so well maintained and picturesque, the staff are so friendly and hard working. Both Annie and her assistant where amazing and made our time there so much more enjoyable, they were friendly, the kids adored them and their cooking was fantastic. We believe all of the finer details of our stay had been covered, the menu/recipe, the swimming/pool toys, breakfast included, the sports equipment to enjoy the gardens, the ability to enjoy in house massage, the childrens zone upstairs. This list goes on. Again we feel very blessed to have spent time at Villa Naora, we have been holidaying in Bali for over 10 years and this is the first time we have been to the North, Villa Naora and North Bali have taken our breathe away. We can't wait to come back. Again thank you for the most relaxing stay, this mother of 4 actually felt like I had a break whilst on holidays. Warmest Regards, Crystal Cook and Family!

A lovely soujourn in northern Bali

5 of 5
We are a retired couple from the USA and stayed for two months, mid-January to mid-March, at The Gaya. The description of the property furnished by the owner was accurate in every respect. The two-storey house is well-maintained, with daily (except one rest day) cleaning service. The house is very spacious and nicely furnished with comfortable seats and an extra bonus is the second bathroom. The large garden, surrounded by high walls on three sides, carries a variety of trees, from 10 coconut palms to papaya and banana and several rambutan trees that were hanging full of rambutans so that part of our servings of fruit was rambutans fresh from the trees. The garden is constantly maintained and the swimming pool cleaned six days a week, so that going for a swim is always a pleasure and the two lounge chairs and big umbrella by the pool invite leasurely relaxation. Sri, the housekeeper, and Molen, the gardener are very diligent and helpful, one could not want for better personnel. It is always a nice beginning of the day when the baker’s husband comes with the fresh-out-of-the-oven baguette and Sri fixes a wholesome breakfast. We should mention that this baker lady bakes a variety of breads which are their equal to the kind of German breads we are used to. Also mentionable is the Agung Spa, right next to the bakery, where one of us had an almost daily massage, done by competent massage therapists, with transportation to and from the spa. There a a number of good restaurants within 2 km from the house, some of which also provide transportation. Most of them are in the strip along the beach. The nearest store where basics can be bought is only five minutes on foot. As an older couple we did not rent any motor bikes or ride bycicles because we did not feel confident enough to join the lively traffic, but made do with walking, while getting transportation by car can be easily arranged. The house is located at the periphery of Kaliasem village, Lebah banjar, which at first is not so obvious because of the many trees that blanket the area, but two of the neighbors have chickens and pigs and a couple of cows so that the rural setting communicates itself soon after moving in, but apart from the squealing of the piglets when they are hungry, this never becomes intrusive. On the other hand, the neighbor across the street is from Germany and there are other expats in the area. All in all, we would highly recommend The Gaya for a stay in the Lovina area.
