Fabulous Find!

5 of 5
My sister and I recently stayed with our 5 kids, ages 18 months-13yrs. for a couple of days over spring break. We could not have been more pleased with the home and owners! The house was very spacious, charming, and immaculately clean. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating--we arrived to a stocked kitchen with all the extra amenities you would never expect and rarely find: bottled waters, juice, eggs, coffee, tea, spices, bagels, etc. all freshly purchased for our arrival. The fresh flowers and basket of candies for the kids that greeted us added such a nice touch! There was even a crib provided in the master suite (a useful surprise). The owners have obviously taken great care in renovating this beautiful brick, Victorian and they covered every detail about use of the home and how to contact them in case of a problem, in the guest manual that was provided (I would have loved to read about the history of the place, however!). Plenty of fresh towels were provided and sample-sized toiletries were even made available. The kids enjoyed the Wii and games. The stone patio out back is lovely (although we did not use since furniture had not yet been brought out) and the large creek that runs behind the house was an added attraction offerring great nature watching. Although we stayed in spring, the property is extremely close to Notre Dame campus and would be a great spot for a large group coming in for football weekends. I would definitely recommend this property! We had a wonderful time and would consider this again for the next entire family group trip!

Clean, comfortable, and so close to campus!

5 of 5
We have been traveling to Notre Dame for more than 20 years, and this is the best place we have ever stayed. Frank is amazing--the area was hit with unexpected snow the night of our arrival, and he texted me weather updates on my drive from ORD, shoveled the walk for us, and had all the lights, heat, and tvs turned on for us when we arrived. The house is spotless, the furnishings are tasteful and comfortable, and it's far bigger than it looks. My husband and I stayed downstairs with our two kids (ages 7 and 2), and my parents took the master upstairs, and there was a room to spare! The towels and linens are very high quality, and the toiletries and robes are a great touch. We slept like rocks--the beds are very comfy. When it says steps from campus, that's no joke. It really is! I could see Touchdown Jesus and the Dome from the window. We had a little tailgater in the driveway (the garage-turned-bar is awesome!), and we were right in on the action. The weather didn't cooperate--30 degrees all weekend--but that made the house so much cozier! Looking forward to returning earlier in the season so we can enjoy the bocce, corn hole, and fire pit! Thanks for a fabulous weekend, Frank!

I thought the property was very well kept.

4 of 5
My family and I had a wonderful stay. The inside of the house was well kept. The shoreline was a bit rocky, but we rented a pontoon and anchored ourselves at the sandbar most of the time. I was able to reach the owner right away with questions when I first arrived. The only issue I would have is the weekly rate, I thought was high. But I would recommend this property to my high end friends and family.
